Nash breaks into the top 3 all time assists leaders tonight

yup, I doubt you will find somebody who will be able to play 19 years and missing only 22 games ( plus making to postseason almost all the time) alone and on top of that averaging 10.5ast/game. Just an amazing player.

I really don't like it when people put his record in this context. I think it cheapens how good he was down to simple longevity. To illustrate here are the top five assist per game during the regular season

Hey, I agree that he was absolutely amazing passer but you need to keep in mind his longevity as one of the reasons why this record will never be broken. There is small chance some kid one day will end up averaging 12-13 ast per season in his best years but to average 10.5 per 19 years? No way.
