He died a billionaire because he had the vision to start and buyup car dealerships around the west. He had a sense for business. The Jazz was his civic venture.

Without Miller the Jazz are not in Utah. He took a huge risk that defied good financial logic at the time to keep the team in Utah. And he established a culture within the team that built a reputable franchise. His determination to not go over the cap was what most owners do. I would have loved the Jazz to have won a ring but I don't fault Larry for the decisions he made.

Yep Larry was altruistic and nothing more. He simply made billions as a side affect of his charity.

The only reason the Jazz are in Utah is because John Karl and Jerry put butts in the seats and sold national tv time bigtime. Larry didnt give a rip. He underpaid all of them and refused to spend for a ring. Meanwhile he siphoned tens of millions off the organization with accounting gimmicks and showed paper losses. He was the main reason David Stern and the big market teams refused to increase revenue sharing. The league is worse off because of Larry. They didnt increase revenue sharing until he died.

John Karl Jerry Jeff Phil Mark Thurl Big Dog Matt Hot Rod didnt care about Utah or the Jazz? WTF dude. They all took pay cuts to be loyal to Utah while Larry made billions off there backs. Look at the facts stop being a blind American sheep.

Larry didnt do a single good thing for Urah. You know what he did to Adrien Dantley? Thats how Larry rolled fools.you dont get rich like that without taking advantage of everyone possible, and here you sit spewing his corporate sales pitch like an infomercial. Larry screwed this state over and his family owes us a title. You know what Greg says to that? We wont spend to get a title.

I am not sure who said Larry was altruistic but it certainly wasn't me so perhaps you are putting words in my mouth?. And I completely agree that John and Karl had a lot to do with the fact that we still have the Utah Jazz. However, if LHM had not taken a huge risk they would have never had that chance. I respect the right of business owners to run their businesses and make money as long as it is within the law. So Larry making a boatload of money on the Utah Jazz does not bother me in the least. I am still glad he took the risk.

So where did Larry say he tanked as you stated earlier? Where did he say he screwed over John and Karl? And where did Greg say he wouldn't spend to get us a title? At best these must be statements taking out of context. Compared to all NBA owners we could do much worse and most NBA franchises are worse.

And BTW, if you are going to be upset about players playing at a discount, which your list is highly debatable, you should be mad at the players. My brother played professional baseball before free agency in professional sports and he had no options. It was slave labor. Each of those you mentioned had plenty of options.

I do remember an interview with LHM when he said that your moms performance in bed was very subpar for a fat chick though.

I will try to find the link to that interview. Maybe another poster remembers the interview and will tell you about it.
