Nash to the Lakers

Lakers fans are acting like they are going to win a title now. I just don't see it happening without additional moves.
Nash makes them better, but doesn't put them past the Thunder, Heat or Bulls(if rose comes back strong).

This doesn't surprise me. Those yahoos thought that they would win a championship because of Ramon Sessions.

Did anyone tell the Lakers how old Nash is?

Bust out the walkers, the Lakers are on a fast break!

I know people have been calling the Nash decline for about a decade, but I really think this backfires on L.A. Although, I'm not your typical Jazzfanz Laker hater either, so I'm not going to hate watching the Lakers if it works.

I think the best counter point to their potential success I've seen is that Mike Brown is still their coach.

This makes the Lakers a complete team. The Heat would have a real tough time going up against the Lakers with no center or point guard. OKC will have a much harder time defending them. LA lead in the 4th in those two playoff games they lost by 2 and 3 points. Nash can change those outcomes.

If I'm LA, I'm more worried about a declining Kobe Bryant making $30,000,000 than I am about Nash. But even Kobe will work a lot less with Nash distributing wide open J's to him.

When I told my wife about Nash going to the Lakers, she said "That's too bad. I thought he was better than that." And she doesn't even follow the NBA.

Yea, Brown is awful. But Kobe and Nash can probably convince him that whatever offense they come up with is going to keep him from being fired again. Next they'll deal Metta World Class Ahole for something worthwhile.

Honestly, I would rather see Nash win a ring with the Lakers then LeBron win another ring with the Heat.

That would mean Kobe ties Jordan in number of rings, and then for the rest of my life, I will have to read bull **** articles comparing the two, and dumb **** analysts making their case for why they think Kobe is better. **** that ****. You sir, need to remove yourself to the corner now, and kick yourself repeatedly in the nads.

I have been rooting for Lebron for a few years now, and it has nothing to do with liking Lebron. I root for him because he is my greatest hope to make sure Kobe always stays one less than MJ, and that absolutely has to happen. It ****ing has to.

They will be better, no doubt, but I'm not ready to say the Heat will have trouble with them. I think Kobe is shooting for career stats, and I just don't see him adapting his game enough to not screw them up. Nash is bound to hit a wall at some point, and he's already a considerable liability on defense. Plus, the whole team is bound to get injured, because they have to.

Maybe we'll find out just how good the Phoenix training staff was in regards to Nash's back.

I think you also root for Lebron because you dont dislike him all that much. Maybe a closet fan as well?
why dont you root for a more likable guy like Durant if beating Kobe is your motivation? Durant has already shown that he can beat the Lakers. Admit it, you do like Lebron more than KG/Celtics or some of the other contenders out there.

I hate LeDouche and Riley and hope they dont win another ring. Its as simple as that.

Iam not too worried about the Lakers. They are getting old and Mike Brown is their coach. Just no more stupid one-sided trades like the Gasol or Nash trade by any other dumb team and everything will be all right.

Kobe > DuhBron

Watching him win it this year was like having my intestines pulled out through my pee hole. I NEVER want to see that again. Kobe can win the next 10 if it means James wins none of the championships.

I disagree. I would rather see Steve Nash win his first ring (at the price of Kobe winning his sixth) then I would Lebron James winning his second.

I don´t think the argument between the 'greatness' of MJ and Kobe hinges on the amount of championships that the player has won. If it did, Russell would be considered the greatest undisputed basketball player.

Kobe fans will be annoying regardless if he wins 5,6,7,8.... championships. :)

And I will not kick myself repeatedly in the nads because that would hurt.

I agree. I am glad I was in Europe this summer so I had a valid reason to miss the NBA finals. I'll never be able to cheer for the 'chosen one'. (Note: I´m not denying his amazing god-given basketball ability.) I would say, however, that Kobe works 1000 times harder than Lebron James does to improve his game.
