Nash was good....but

Have you ever looked back at Iverson's team when he led them to the finals? Go back and look at that team. It's amazing they made it to the finals...hell, even the playoffs. That team sucked sans Iverson! Dude was a punk, but he was a great player!

You can't tell this board that. Iverson is stereotyped on this forum for the cornrows and tattoos. And he chucked a lot.. for a 5'11 guy though to dominate like he did was incredible.

"stereotyped?" Nobody on this board stereotyped Iverson! We respected his desire, enthusiasm, speed, quickness, and fearlessness on a basketball court! What we didn't like about him was his pathetic shot selection, which put him in the category of good, but not great as a point guard/shooting guard, nor did some of us appreciate his gangsta look with all the jailhouse tats, especially the ones on his neck (which I believe he started in the NBA)! His cornrows didn't bother me all that much, but his attitude on practice and his overall "team concept" left a lot to be desired. Getting busted for driving 100 miles an hour on a DC interstate at 2 am in the morning....while smoking pot and having a loaded hand gun in his glove compartment, certainly calls into question his off the court smarts/decision making as well! And his choice of close associates drove him bankrupt and basically broke, even though he made millions as an NBA all-star! Is he a top ten all time NBA guard? Heck no!

The way I see it...

If Nash had his prime during the years of Stockton's prime, Nash doesn't win any mvp's. Nash's first MVP was deserved, but not his second.

Stocktons best years, destroy Nash's MVP numbers, and those suns teams were more talented other then Stockton having Malone.

He chucked because he had to. Look at who was on his 6ers teams. Not sure there is a star in any sport that put a team as bad as Iverson's on there backs and carried them to the finals. Or that sports championship game. He's one of my favorit players ever. He's as tough or tougher then anyone in the game ever. He was relentless
