Nationally televised conflict: Scotty Layden vs. Jae Crowder 3/2/2018 8:30 pm MST ESPN

It’s him.

If we lose tomorrow, Quin is going into a rage and holding out Exum until next January. Not even summer league.

Ill bite.
Im torn.
We had a great opportunity for a top 5 pick this year and now missing the playoffs looks likely. 7th or 8th seed looks best case atm, thats tough, Houston or GS?

Id like Exum to come back without the pressure of a playoff push (which will have zero room for error). Tbh though I dont think Quin has the depth this time to pull that leash.

I was captain tank... looking at the **** show that is the bottom 8 and we never had any chance to tank. Especially with all the tank buzz going on... we'd have had to do some shady stuff if healthy.

We would have needed a stealth tank move before the deadline for sure.. like a Hood + Favs + whatever for K.Love and then sit him all year.

We have been pretty bad this year whenever we dont shoot lights out from 3 so I dont think getting a top 8 pick was entirely out of the question. We could have also monitored DMs minutes a little more, Quin is running him hard and taking him out for an extra 4 minutes a game would probably be worth 8pts/gm.

ESPN almost has this as a guarantee for the Jazz to win. Its a 9.5 on their MAH score thing for how fatigued a team is.

March 2: Minnesota at Utah | MahScore 9.5

Dearest Timberwolves: This goes into the ledger as your fourth and final schedule alert game of the season. So congrats -- you made it to the finish line, almost. But this hurdle is a doozy, one of our season-high four red-alert games this month alone, and the toughest red-alert game left on the 2017-18 docket. The Timberwolves will play in Portland on March 1, a nationally televised game -- so it's going to get out late -- then will fly out immediately after -- losing an hour along the way -- for Salt Lake City, where they'll close out a back-to-back against the Jazz. The Jazz, meanwhile, will enter this game with a monster three-day rest advantage and will be on the 12th day of a 12-day homestand, so they should be plenty rested.

The Jazz can make the playoffs without winning the game but this feels like a must win type of game. They really need this one to break out of their funk and get some momentum. They are still playing Portland right now so that game is going very late.

Can we dispense with this notion that more rest is always better? The Jazz have looked rusty and sloppy as ****, and this strength-of-schedule crutch argument won't matter if they don't turn it around.

I think 3 days of practice after a 1-2 start post all-star break will matter more than rest.

This game is an absolute MUST win. If we don't win, we really shouldn't even make the playoffs at all TBH.

Shabazz Muhammad getting a buyout from the Wolves. Can’t believe I totally forgot about the Burke Trey’d in the OP.

Infection, feel free to keep making game threads whether the Jazz win or lose. If they win, it's not because you made the game thread. If they lose, it's not because you made the game thread.

How accurate have these ESPN predictions been in the past?
