Making contact not only with the body but the forearm with the guy driving to the basket is a foul, no ifs or ands about it.

as a rational nba fan, you know BEFOREHAND that contact (which ginobili initiated) is NOT going to be called a foul on a last second shot.

no , it was a foul.
Bosh's block was a foul too.

I understand that the refs are less likely to blow the whistle in the last seconds, so that's another argument.
That's why I said Lebron would have gotten that call "4 out of 5 times", not "9 out of 10 times".

Allen initiated contact, not Gino.

I'd have to look again, but during the game it looked like Allen fouled Manu. Bosh's block on Green looked like a good no call, though. But again, I'd have to watch the replays a few times to really have an opinion.

My heart tells me that green and Manu played like dump and pop comes back with vengence so the spurs have an awesome chance of bouncing back. My brain tells me that the Spurs just lost their chance to bury the heat. Sigh.

For me it's reversed. Logically I think the Spurs certainly have a chance at the title still, but my gut says the Heat will come away with this thing.

Honestly, I fel like Spurs deserve to win it more. They play game right way, they do not have coattail riders ( TMac does not play any role there so he does not count), they develop talent instead of trying to steal it. I admire LBJ and Wade's talent and Spoelstra as a coach, but can't stand Bosh, Battier, Andersen and lost all respect to Allen after he dumped Celtics and run away to chase ring with Heat. Heat winning it all would be just not right. So until it is done I hope and believe that Spurs will find a way to win. Would be perfect ending for Pop and Duncan.

This.

I can't stand Birdman, Juwan Howard, Ray Allen, Shane Battier (I just hate him anyway), and Bosh. All cut and cut to ride off Lebron's coattails.

Add into the fray, Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole... And you just have to wonder how anyone could refrain from hating them?

Duncan is great. Parker is awesome. Manu is... flopper.

Leonard, Blair, Green, and Neal are all players I really like.

Lets just all agree that Spurs gave this win away not because of the refs. Miami got 4 direct gifts from Spurs in last 20 seconds. Ginobili's missed FT, Kawhi missed FT, Miller offensive board, Bosh offensive board. One of those 4 things does not happen - Spurs are champions.
Please stop whining about refs.

...on one hand you say you want the Spurs to win because they play the right way.....but also admire Lebron and Wade....who basically don't play the right way......but despise Battier and Allen who DO play the right way! I want to know....and I want to know NOW! For or against "hopper ball?"

Is it okay if I just mention that the heat flopped a lot, and got a little help from the refs?

What is the distinction between whining and making accurate comments?

Why are we supposed to only criticize the Spurs players or coaches , but not criticize the Heat players or coaches , and not criticize the refs, and not look at the positive things that the Spurs did?

Why are we supposed to focus on 4 plays, and not remember the other 99.5% of the game?

Time to move on to game 7. This will separate the men from the boys. May the best team win.

Ginobili, Parker, Duncan won't have much left in the tank.

The only way Spurs will have a chance at winning would be if Green, Neal & Leonard steps up their 3pt shooting (again).

It would be a CLASSIC regardless.

It'll be hard to be more of a classic than game 6, though. That game....wow.

Since when LBJ does not play game the right way? We can all hate his "decision" and how it was delivered but when it comes to basketball he is one of all time greats. Same with Wade. He may have turned into a bit of a flopper with declining skills but I guess you do not remember him in 2006. I already explained why I lost respect for Allen and Battier was always a flopper with no talent. Fake "tough defender" who mastered flopping and occasional corner 3. Hated him in Houston, hate him now. Nothing changed.

I liked the reffing at the close of the game. They let them play a little. No foul called on a couple physical plays on both ends.
