NBA Free Agency Moves in General (related to the Jazz, but not just moves made by the Jazz)

You are leaving off all the players with player options who will decline them.

Is there an alternate reality that exist where Demarcus Cousins and the Utah Jazz have mutual interest and sign a free agent deal?

Wilson Chandler also a PO in 2019, so he will likely be a free agent next year.

Same with Danny Green.

So things are a little brighter.

The biggest bummer is Klay Thompson signed a 4 year guaranteed deal instead of a 3+1. He would have been the dream UFA get.

I was high on Gordon coming out but haven't watched him much in Orlando. Is he hitting the 3 at a reasonably decent clip? I also have no idea on Orlando's cap situation. Readers Digest version me here.

Oh boy.

Well, I'll hope the Jazz can clear salary to absorb bad contracts and hope to strike big on a draft pick or two before Gobert's deal is up. There really isn't a good plan (including blowing most of the ****er up which is more and more appealing to me).

Not a huge WC guy but we should explore trading for him posthaste.

You could be right. History tells me that the Jazz's spending power means dick. I hope you're right. I hope a bunch of magic happens, but I think we've got four fourty-something win seasons on the horizon and then Gobert's deal will be up.

Why do I keep coming back here? Gah.

I feel your pain. Being back on that treadmill of being too good to get a top pick and too bad to be a contender is my worst nightmare as well. But we still got Gobert and he's a ******* stud. The hope I hold is that one of these youngsters (Hood/Exum/Mitchell) breaks out in a big way this year. We wait to extend anybody keeping our cap space open for next offseason. Rudy has a monster year and we do better than expected amongst the national media. Next offseason we attack free agency HARD out to prove that Utah can indeed land a big free agent. We'll hold an advantage of being one of the few teams with big money to spend. We land that big fish proving everyone ******* wrong. If it was Hood or Exum that broke out then we match any offer and boom we're set. Gobert, FA signing, Hood/Exum or Mitchell... We'd have a big 3.

When GSW emerged w/ KD everyone was put on the treadmill.

Gordon is a good fit if he could shoot. We have one "core" guy that can hit threes (not counting limited attempt Ingles) and then a handful of space killers.
