Utah is embracing the Johnson
It is very bizarre. Trump doesn't seem to be able to rise above and move on. He beat Cruz. Cruz is out of the picture except that Trump keeps bringing him back in.
I'm anxious to see what happens after the DNC, especially in the debates. I don't imagine Trump will abandon the jackass routine, it has worked for him so far. I'm curious if it will continue to work and how Mrs. Clinton will handle it. I can see her scoring major points if she can take it while remaining dignified and countering with solid, coherent ideas.
I would KILL it.
Problem is;
- I have smoked dope
- I drink too much
- way too honest
- I would try to buy countries rather than invade them or lend money
...
Basically, my platform would sound great but the reality would suck. Let's just keep the status quo.
The use of the word "intervention" seems like an NBC attempt to influence people's perceptions, as if Trump has some sort of a drug problem. He might for all I know, but intervention seems to be a very loaded word. They keep saying that word, but I don't think anyone associated with an actual meeting is.Starting to be some sparks among the rights ranks.

Possible "intervention" to get the GOP ticket back on track...

Trump has handled the Kahn situation poorly, but I think that here again media like MSNBC are trying to make it seem like he went on the attack. The only thing I've heard that reached that level were Trump's ridiculous comments about his wife.
The purple heart thing was clearly a joke, as was the thing about getting the baby out of the rally. I heard an NBC commentator go on and on about how terrible that was. I thought it was pretty damn funny. Some people hate Trump so much that they are trying to turn everything he says or does into something negative. I think his opponents would be a lot wiser to attack him on his legitimate faults rather than trying to turn jokes into controversies.
My point was that people involved in meetings with Trump are not calling them or characterizing them as interventions. NBC has a liberal bias. So does a large percentage of the media. They are using the word intervention because the idea that an intervention is necessary makes Trump look really bad. Here's a non-NBC source, since you seem to dislike that network:

It's all over the news.

I wrote my previous reply without reading your link. When I did this is the quote I found:Here's a non-NBC source, since you seem to dislike that network:

NBC News reported that senior Republicans plan to stage an "intervention" to get the campaign back on message, stressing issues such as jobs and trade deals.

You really think that's evidence that my previous comment was incorrect? The word is coming from the media, not from anybody involved in any way with the campaign.
Yeah, dissatisfaction is accurate reporting. Some people convinced themselves that Trump would change once he got the nomination. I understand this because I tried to convince myself, too. It seems to me that Trumps biggest strength is that he always calls things like he sees them. His biggest weakness (and it's much bigger than his biggest strength) is that he always calls things like he sees them.Lots of outlets are reporting dissatisfaction among Republicans with the way Trump handled the last couple of weeks. But ya, the word "intervention" comes from NBC.
