Never Trump

Trump's an epic moron and a disgrace but he has not supposedly paid income taxes in 18 years and ya know what, I'm okay with that. That's the system and he's legally using it to his advantage. Every single one of us would do the same.

Right. He's legally taking advantage of a system rigged by the rich so that they who can most afford to pay taxes pay less than they who can least afford to. If he did get elected though, I'm sure the first thing he would do is fix the rigged system he's always complaining about, that allows him to get away with paying less taxes than, say, a teacher in NJ.

Ok with that? **** that ****.

Better do some research. Trump is the exception not the rule. the top 1% on average pay a far higher percentage of their income in taxes as well as the lion's share of total taxes collected. Those whose wealth mostly comes from investments tend to pay lower percentages than wage earners but still pay a higher percentage than the vast majority of the "middle class".

Some of this "rigged" stuff is so moronic (going in all directions).

What about long term capital gains versus ordinary income versus 1031 exchange?

So if I buy property A and sell it for a profit of $100,000;

Within 12 months I pay ordinary income tax (bad).
After 12 months I pay long term capital gains. (better)
Or sell inside 12 months but do a like-kind 1031 exchange "swap."

Please explain how this is "rigged."

(Btw, I already know what the two most likely answers are and am baiting.. full warning.)

What about property B? Don't leave us in suspense!

Just out of morbid curiosity, what is the big deal with Trump's tax returns? And how does it compare to all the "birther" malarkey? I have friends that are VIOLENTLY opposed to Trump, at least a few who claim his failure to release his tax returns proves he is the anti-christ or something. Just trying to understand this angle because when I ask them what the deal is with it they foam at the mouth and cannot form coherent sentences due to overwhelming anger. Can someone enlighten me?

Personally I am only bothered by him not releasing his tax returns because of the claims he has made that could be proven true or false based on these tax returns. I also feel like releasing tax returns shows your willingness to at least pretend to be transparent for the public before becoming president. Trump has shown a reluctance to be transparent and keep things close to the cuff. However for me it is a minor issue with Trump. I simply will not vote for him because I disagree with most of his platform (if you can call it that, there is a real lack of things he is willing to claim he will do or how he will be if voted in). Personally I think Trump is not releasing his tax returns because it will prove he has lied a couple times. For me that is non issue since he has already been proven to be the most dishonest candidate in my lifetime with his statements during his campaign for president by every independent fact checking group, hence I am not concerned if he is lying again.

I don't think trump is anything close to a billionaire. His taxes will show that he's a liar about that.

Obviously it would turn people off to find out he pays very little in taxes. But I think it hurts him far worse if people find out he has boasted of having much more money than he actually does. That kind of takes th shine off the idea that he's a brilliant businessman who will take his business skills to Washington and solve much of our financial issues through his genius at making money.

To quote Mark Cuban, "“The only way (Donald Trump) is worth $10 billion is if I paid him 9 1/2 billion to wash my b***s!”

My guess is with all his holdings Trump is easily a billionaire. I think his problem is liquidity - he does a bulk of his financial dealings with shell entities, loans, junk bonds, etc...

I think it will also show his lack of charitable donations. It appears he doesn't contribute to his own foundation, much less elsewhere.

Who cares what Trump has made or paid in taxes? Seriously. The election isnt even about that. I could care less if he was flat broke and cheated on his taxes every year.

This election is about someone calling out corrupt politics and the corrupt main stream media, left and right. Plain and simple. Thats it. It exactly why no one gives a rats *** about whatever nonsense you bring up about him.

Hillary supporters are the real shamefull people for supporting more crooked politics which is at the heart of all the problems we face. **** your concerns with anything else.

The allegations of Clinton's corruptness are hollow. I'm not impressed by them at all. Bunch of hot air being blown out of the gaping mouths of assholes.
