This repulsive stance is the reason the Islamic/Arabic states continue having third world issues. I wish I could say I was shocked that you would support violence against those expressing their freedom of speech and right to vote.

Trump equated the guy who cold cocked someone from behind for carrying a sign he didn't like with being a criminal? Well no wonder he was mad. Everyone knows that punks don't like being called out.

I think that humans are, by nature, tribal. For most of our history this was a matter of survival. We often don't even realize we're doing it. Many people adopt a "we vs. them" mentality in most areas. This probably explains why people on either side hold similar beliefs even on topics that don't come down to the core reasons that they identify as conservative, liberal or whatever else.

I don't think so. The aligning similarities in the stances seem to pair too well to be a part of tribe mentality IMO, at least in the homeland.

With my one iron (only God can hit a one iron) I'd probably swing for the fences to drive the point that both sides really aren't all that off on perspective but only in the way they express themselves. You believe private sector is more competent but I doubt you believe in unbridled capitalism. The other side says unbridled capitalism is ruining us but it is essentially effective.

As one who has friends who are believers in Islam, and arabs, and even relatives of this ilk, as well as real communist ideological believing friends, may I just point out that Dal obviously is just a poor damned ignorant fool who buys everything he is told by organized change-agent advocates. He's really a very decent human being, otherwise. Well, obviously, it's a stretch for me to use the word "everything" when actually it might just be some things which he is committed to not taking proper objective issue with. Oh, where is OB when we need him????

IMO, the thugs who are trying to stir up violence at Trump rallies are bought-and-paid for stooges, paid by the like of George Soros, whose interest is in accumulating personal political leverage within our system, for his own benefit. Soros wouldn't care who gets hurt, or killed, to gain that effect.

The best thing real liberals with nice ideals about making the world better could do is rise up and condemn this kind of exercise, no matter who starts it.

And, as a now=dedicated Trump supporter, I call for Trump's fans to stand down. Take a few hits, just don't respond in kind. Trump could be the new Gandhi.

Vote for Trump.

Trump has such powerful sway over his core constituency that I could see him leading them to make compromises we can't imagine them accepting at this moment. Unfortunately Trump does not seem to have equally powerful sway over himself. He keeps saying that he knows how to act presidential, and he looks very good when he does it. But just when I start to feel a little confidence in him he flies off the handle again and says crazy things.

One of his greatest strengths is that we hear what he thinks, unfiltered. That's also one of his greatest weaknesses. He's almost the diametric opposite in this respect to Obama. That dude can hardly get a word out when speaking off the cuff because he's so obsessively filtering himself. And it appears that he does all of the filtering because he knows we won't like what he's really thinking.

I was listening to one of his BIG supporters, a virtual one-man think tank for Trump, today. He says Trump is show biz. He knows how to act. If the script calls for temper, he's got it in an instant, If the script calls for humanity, he literally bleeds humanity. What his purpose is, evidently, to defy the established rut we are in. Putting people off balance with the unexpected is his script for right now. He wants the dems to be forced to Bernie, who would look even crazier, really. And even if Bernie wins, it's a win for the Republicans because about one term of Bernie will win us a 60% voter base including majorities of women and Hispanic and blacks.

This election the issue is how to defeat the big Banks, who had Cruz even in their pocket. A lot of Bernie people are there for that reason, so both parties' CFR candidates have surprised the Banks by failing significantly. If Hillary squeaks by in California, or if she wins the nomination in a sleeze-ball convention, her big problem is keeping the Bernie people going into the election.

Unlike most Jazzfanzers, most Americans want to shake the political tree this year real hard.
