in this election, people are turning up any fault with either candidate to Level 10 just to justify their own feelings. Would be interesting to hear what people actually think instead of them hiding behind the over the top, doomsday type stuff. It's a defense mechanism. Exaggerate your claims, so the other side can't possibly argue with you and so that you don't have to be vulnerable enough to share your actual thoughts.

This is total ********. Words have meaning. Donald Trump says things that you would be a fool to chalk up to anything other than a very deeply disturbed individual.
 
I don't know what other women think, but both unwanted kissing and grabbing have been equally offensive to me. In "Pretty Woman," Julia Roberts' character, a prostitute, would not kiss her clients because it was "too personal." Sex was not as personal to her. I can see her point in some ways.

A man's view. I bet most women would view either one as nearly equally traumatic. Someone forcing themselves on your lips is so repugnant.

JazzGal didn't confirm the views of "all women." I know that's not what you're saying she did; and I know that's not what she claimed to do. But we also have to resist the idea that this stuff can be classified in such general terms. The strength of Dr. Jones's answer was that he took responsibility for what HE'D do in such a situation. Those kinds of specifics avoid the flop of over-generalization.

I'm willing to admit that I might not have a good handle on "rape culture" and what leads to more rapes. I can definitely get behind the thought that what Trump said is worse than the generic, "I'd bang that girl so hard", type of stuff sleaze bags say.

Also, the "fake outrage" I'm talking about is the people saying they think this means Donald is bragging about ACTUALLY LITERALLY sexually assaulting women. If they are outraged that he is trivializing sexual assault then I wont call that fake at all.

BTW, what I would call fake outrage about Hillary is off the charts, probably more so than with Trump. I dunno when people started thinking that one side has to be the devil in order to justify voting for their side, but it's a bad look for all involved.
 
So, let's just say, for argument's sake, that he never assaulted any women. Which is difficult to believe given his behavior and the accusations of just that against him, but, OK. Let's stipulate that. Let us say that he was just bragging to Billy Bush.

He is still the kind of person who thinks that bragging about sexual assault is a good thing. And he's not doing it to one of his long time friends or peers, he's doing it to some schmoe he's hanging out on the bus with. And, by the way, he's not smart enough to think, "Hey, this is a reality TV culture, and I'm in a media bus. What are the chances this thing is wired for sound?"
 
Where is the outrage that Hillary has stood by her man who has been accused of worse, and has even admitted to some of it? She has even been accused of harassing and threatening the victims.

She is basically married to the sexual side of Donald Trump, but worse. But hey, no need to be outraged by that. Lets just stick to Trump and forget about those little facts.

When Bill Clinton was president and lied about Monica Lewinsky I advocated for him to be impeached. My issue was not the act itself by that instead of not answering questions about it he outright lied to the public about it.

So yeah. Hillary Clinton is the one running for president. I wouldn't vote for Bill again, but I will vote for Hillary.

Not fake outrage.

And you continue to ignore the concept of consent.

Did Hillary not do the exact same thing with respect to the emails? Seems like it to me. I don't have as much a problem with her having the server (although clearly that was a bad idea), as I have a problem with the way she has handled the situation since then--repeatedly lying and misleading the public about it.
