Kanter, burks, and 5 for 3? No thanks
Uh....and a future first he said, too. Why not a dealership while we are at it?

Well this is the bias of fans. If you go by what experts are saying it's a 3-4 person draft in tier 1 (depending on where you count Exum) with Embiid being in his own tier. I've read the threads all year about doomsday scenarios where the Jazz aren't in a position for a franchise player, and guess what, that's the position you're in now (hence the Aaron Gordon hate threads here).
The NBA is built on superstars, and your fans have complained about the limited ceiling of your players (no franchise players on your roster). To get a franchise player prospect, there's a premium to be paid. This wouldn't even be a discussion if Exum isn't available at 5 (or if Philly is TREMENDOUSLY high on Vonleh).
So yes, you now rationalize that being in the 5th position and having your choice of tier 2 prospects that there isn't a huge gulf between tier 1 and 2. I'm just telling you that going by consensus, the assets required to move up into tier 1 are higher than what you'd think.
EX: Jazz fans want to give up Kanter (we all know you hate him). Every fanbase outside of the Jazz are looking for Favors.
Now, you can gripe all you want, but at the end of the day the Bucks/Sixers are in a position perfectly content to draft at their spot, with Cleveland perhaps folding to immediate "win now" pressures. The onus is on the Jazz to move up, not the other way around. And it's that type of onus that led to the Sixers getting Noel/10th for Jrue last year.

You think it's fair to gut your partner for getting the player you want anyway?
Sixers/Clippers season ticket holder here.
The Bucks owners have publicly said during fan season ticket holder events that they have Jabari/Embiid as their top 2 prospects. Several reports indicate that their GM has a boner for Exum too, so apparently Wiggins is #4 on their board.
Smart had two workouts with the Magic (only prospect to have that) and was their coveted player last year.
Hopefully that helps inform you guys!
Sidenote: As a Sixers fan, if Wiggins is gone at #3, I'd be receptive to a 3 for 5 swap provided that you include Kanter, Burks, and a future first and provided Exum falls to 5.

Well if I were a Philly fan I would love it too but I am a Jazz fan and that is way too much.

It's steep, but I don't know about WAY too much.
If you guys covet Favors more than Kanter, I'd happily give you Favors and #5 for #3. Burks AND an additional pick on top of that is steep and you know it.
At any rate, I appreciate the input, and I'm sure everyone else does too.
