No, and especially not this year. My post was about the offseason in general being dull once the main FA's sign. Because when that's still going on, I can read about/discuss that in NBA General rather than make threads about the Jazz getting a new D-League affiliate.

Kind of like the Bobcats and the Raptors? Really, a name only becomes legend after the team earns a reputation, because i would say about a third of the NBA team names are kind of dumb (Thunder?)'

What did you want them to call themselves? The Hurricanes? The Katrinas? What about the "Corruption" to honor their ownership group?

And then there are the franchises that should have changed their names after re-locating, like the LA Lakers, Utah Jazz.
And what's up with "Pacers?" Did they not want to be winners? They're content with just being the pace cars for the rest of the league?
 
We can all fix this mess we have.

Utah Lakers, obvious for the Salt Lake.

New Orleans Jazz, original team name.

Los Angeles Hornets, they are gonna be rebuilding in few years anyways.
 
I'm still waiting for a professional sports franchise to name themselves the Champions. That'd be wicked awesome.
 
The Jazz should start their own D-League team and put it in St. George. I actually enjoyed going to some Utah Flash games despite the fact that it was ran by that moron Brandt Anderson.
