New Nike Uniforms: How Bad Are They Going To Look?

No because green is actually a jazz color and it was an original. Orange?what professional sports franchise has messed with colors as much as the jazz? Purple, green, yellow, powder blue, brown, dark blue, grey, and now orange? How iconic...

No, the original (and I may be wrong on this) where purple road jerseys w/ white homes.

I agree with the Jazz philosophy to change the jerseys regularly.

By the way I didn't like the green jersey so much.

It's not a Jazz thing this time though. It's Nike trying to make a splash in their first year. The 2 regular jerseys are going to have the same style and branding as last year.

This is a pretty spot on comment. I'm a jersey enthusiast and I'm pretty excited to see what they come up with but the fact remains that the Jazz moved away from the music note in the 90's and have been all over the place ever since.

It's nothing unique to the Jazz though. Nearly everyone had cartoon designs in the 90's then moved away from that to bland designs in the 00's. Then when everyone realized those were ****, teams started getting original again. I hope Nike brings in a new wave w/ their 3rd and 4th designs.

Never knew about this alternate logo. Kind of dope.

I was referencing further back to New Orleans.

They might not have had green jerseys, but they still would have had green as one of the original team colors. I'm betting the purple roadies had gold and green trim. The Mardi Gras colors, green, purple, and gold.

I don't get why some people are getting upset about the yellow/orange uniform. It's not going to be the main uniform, it's going to be the 4th alternate.

It was certainly the trend and I'm sure all the changes brought in extra $$$ for the Jazz. That being said, I think there's a decent chunk of our fan base that wishes we should have been more "iconic" and not jumped into the trends. Teams like the Knicks, Celtics, and Lakers pretty much stood pat. I'm sure the counter argument to that is that those franchises always sell jerseys regardless of the trends while a team like Utah has to mix it up a bit in an effort to jump start sales.

Did you read any of the thread? So are the jazz trying to be the thunder now? Orange isn't a jazz color, nor should it be.

I think people just like to complain about change.
