Yeah, I was surprised nobody had mentioned it yet. But it seems like it's mostly so they can practice today. I'm sure most or all of them will be back tomorrow. They should leave Neto or Exum with the Stars for a game or two, though.

Seems odd to send Burks down but I guess he needs minutes to get up to speed. I'm guessing he will play a couple games and come back for good.

Think the player has to have less than 3 years in the league.

No, players w/ 3 years or less experience have no choice. If the teams sends them to D-League, they have to go.

If you are a "vet" it's your choice.

They sent them to the D League so that they could practice while the Jazz get a day off. They will be recalled tomorrow I bet and be suited up for the Jazz/Cavs game.

It is getting closer to becoming an official minor league team. I think that some players need the time to get back into game shape so sending them down would make sense.
