New Starting Lineup

Well he is pretty consistently our second best player. Him with Crowder and the starters is our best unit.
.

This is 100% false. We actually get scored on OVER 20 POINTS MORE per game when Favors is on the floor and NOT Gobert.
Rubio/Donovan/Ingles/Crowder/Gobert have THE HIGHEST +/- in the league.

Pretty sure that means Favors is no where near our second best player consistently

Favs is a very good player. I would say ingles is the 2nd best player though

+/- is the only stat we go by? What about pretty much any other advanced stat?

Here's an advance stat for you my dude.

Gobert's DEFR is 8.4
Jae's DEFR is 4.0
Rubio's is 3.1
Ingle's is 3.6

Guess what Favor's is? 4.1

.1 better DEFR than Jae who is x1000 times better at shooting.

Guess what our defensive stopper in Exum is? 1.3 LOLLLLL Exum is statistically .1 better than Kyle Korver

Ekpe, Thabo, Niang, X and Grayson. I'm tired of our starters putting us in a big hole. Plus it's another not to play with effort. Quin could send a message to all on the team that results the last two games will not be tolerated. Production will be rewarded.

Coaches just can't do this sort of thing. Popovich has never even done this. You don't sit your 5 best players in place of your scrubs regardless of how poorly they're playing. This is the kind of thing that would cause a coach to lose the team.

Stats are only one measure. Just look at what Dante brings to the table -- the speed that is lacking in most of the rest of the lineup and the ability to stay in front of quick guards. We need to continue to develop the potential that he has.

Lmao. Sephucking awful.

Edit mods if you feel the need. But this spelling was necessary given his. I was not trying to circumvent the filter.

Lol my bad , I was on the phone and posting at the same time

I like Thabo ... I think his passing skills are underrated ...

Or at least cause the players skip practice and hold a players-only meeting instead.

I guess that shows how garbage that stat is then...

Favors is #3 offensive rating and #3 defensive rating according to basketball reference on our team. That gives him the second best Net rating on the team behind Gobert. Favors has the #2 PER, #2 TS%, #1 offensive rebounding %, #2 total rebounding %, #3 block percentage (barely behind gobert), #2 offensive win shares, defensive win shares, Win shares, and win shares per 48 only behind gobert, #3 OBPM, #3 DBPM, #2 BPM, #2 VORP.

Favors is our best long range 2 point shooter at 16 feet to 3 point line at 54%. He draws the 3rd most shooting fouls.

According to NBA.com Favors has our 2nd best Player Impact Estimate, 2nd best Defended Field Goal Percentage(Exum is #1 and Korver would be #2 but doesnt qualify), he has the #1 best on the team % Percentage Points Different between what players shoot against him and normally (FYI Exum is #2), #2 at Box outs, #2 at offensive box outs, #2 and defensive box outs, and literally 10 other stats about blocks outs he is #2 at. Favors is #2 at screen assists and points created off screens, #3 at offensive loose balls recovered, #1 if you go by % of loose balls recovered offensively, #2 at contested shots, #2 at 2 point contested shots, and the crazy stat is #3 at contested 3 point shot behind Mitchell and Rubio.

Then there is the tracking stats that make Favors look even better. Favors is #2 at Field Goals Defended at Rim Percent just behind Exum and just ahead of Gobert. He defends the 2nd most shots at the basket behind Gobert. He shoots the 3rd best on catch and shoot shots on the team. He gets the 2nd most contested rebounds. But the more important stat is that he gets the highest percentage of contested rebounds on the team by a lot. He gets 42% of contested rebounds to the 2nd best Gobert who is at 34%. He travels the 6th most amount of distance on the team per game despite playing less minutes. If you base it off per minute he is ahead of all the starters and Crowder. So he is hustling his *** off.

So there is a few stats for ya.

Put Korver and Crowder into the starting lineup and move Favors and Rubio to the bench. Have mostly Joe run the offense. This will provide needed spacing, and we'd compete to start games. The bench could trickle in without the pressure of overcoming a deficit, and Favors and Rubio can pick up scoring load.

This would never happen, though.
I liked the idea of a Donovan-Korver-Jingles lineup but so far it hasn't worked. It seemed like it would be really hard to stop but so far ORtg: 83.3/100.

The only thing I would change at this point is putting Crowder in as the full time starting 4.

How many minutes, and who else is on the floor?
