New To The Board / Andrew Bogut

Hey guys, I'm new to the board and I'm sorry if this has been discussed on here already, but I really want to see the Jazz make a play for Andrew Bogut. I would even give up Favors or #3 to get him.

Favors + Okur for Bogut is something simple that I would like.

Anyone else on here share the same desire? Please share the value you would give up for Bogut. Thanks!

That is an awful trade.

Bogut has shown a history of injuries, and is quite a but older than favors. Favors has the exact same strengths as bogut, only with much higher upside while still on a rookie scale contract.

Bogut is injury prone, but he's not THAT old is he? Plenty of productive years left. I wouldn't trade him for Favors, but in a heartbeat for Jefferson. I don't see this happening, though.

When healthy, Bogut is the 2nd best center in the league. He is as dominant as they come on the defensive end, and before his elbow injury he was quite good on the offensive end of the floor as well. Stop it with the "upside" talk. Give me the 26 year old who is already an all-star caliber player vs Favors, who has a high ceiling but there is no guarantee that he every gets even to Andrew's level.

It isn't an awful trade. If Favors is so untouchable, maybe #3 + #12 gets it done. Milwaukee is not going to trade Bogut unless it is for rebuilding pieces, that is pretty obvious.

Surely people must remember the last Bogut fanatic we had........ I can't remember his name though.

I am by no means a fanatic. I just think he would be a great addition given the assets we are sitting with right now.

It's pretty awful dude. At the same age, favors is far ahead of where bogut was.

And you can't say stuff like "before the injury he was ***," that's like saying "before Beno udrih ruined ak-47's he was ***." Or, "when healthy etc." especially when guys have a history of not being healthy. You know, when healthy grant hill was the best thing since Jordan, doesn't mean anything though because he wasnt healthy. I'm not saying bogut is as injury prone as hill, but he isn't exactly Karl Malone out there.

I'd say there is less of a guarantee that bogut gets back to where he was offensively pre-injury then there is of favors getting to boguts level.

You can when referring to Bogut, who suffered a freak elbow injury. He was brought back to action before he should have, but he has a very good chance to get back to the level he was in the '09-'10 season, a level I am not convinced Derrick will ever reach. I think it is laughable to say that at the same age Favors will be far ahead of where Bogut currently is. It could happen, but that is a lot bigger of a question mark than you're implying.

It's not a stretch at all to say that at 19 favors is worlds better than bogut was, which is what I was saying.

I thought you meant that when Favors will be 26 he will be far and away a better player than Bogut is at 26. Now that you clarified, I agree.

I like Bogut but in no way would trade Favors straight up for him. If Favors can put things together he can be an MVP caliber player. He has the skills for it, he just needs the mental game.

I think #12 has to go along with #3 if we want to get Bogut solely from draft picks. No one at #3 is a better piece than Bogut. He probably goes #2 in this draft after Irving. Maybe #3 / #12 for Bogut / #10 is something Milwaukee would consider.

Bogut is a very good player but i wouldnt give up neither 3 nor favors
