New TV Shows - Fall Season 2018

Oh no.. really? Why? It's not like the ratings have been low?

I really just don't understand why some shows ends so early. Breaking Bad. Game of Thrones. The Practice. When there's a whole lot of rubbish shows out there, it boggles my mind why these great shows have to end.
If I remember right Breaking Bad was originally planned to be Four Seasons, but they extended it to 5 because of the fan response and because they felt they had more of the story to tell. To me Breaking Bad actually went a few episodes too long, but it was still a fantastic series. I believe that mr. Robot was similar to this in that I think originally they had thought of doing Five Seasons, but with the principal people being involved in other projects, like Rami Malek being cast in film, and the fact that I think they were struggling to really figure out where the story was going after season 4 since season 4 is supposed to really wrap up most of the Loose Ends and storylines to this point, so they just decided to end it after 4. I read an interview with Rami Malek where he said he felt like ending it after four seasons made sense because of the way the fourth season was written he didn't see how it would continue effectively with his character after that. I don't think that means that they are going to kill him off, but maybe they just bring some of the things that caused him to be a conflicted character to a close and so they would have to open a whole new story line to go anywhere with it after that. I prefer for a series to end a little prematurely then to try to drag itself on endlessly sinking further and further into mediocrity.

"How to get Away with Murder" has been going from strength to strength. I know it's not everybody's cup of tea but for me it's the most gripping courtroom drama since The Practice.
