News, rumors and buzz around the draft and free agency

"The Orlando Magic are preparing a four-year offer believed to be in excess of $90 million to their All-Star center Nikola Vucevic in hopes of completing a deal shortly after Sunday's opening bell in free agency, league sources say"

So... Barnes = Vucevic?

To Sacramento since Barnes would stay there, it's worth it to them.

If we drop Favors for Bogdanovic (which won't happen because there's no way Indy won't throw a big offer at him), who the hell would play the 4? Would we really rock with Brantley or Niang for like 25 mins a game?

I think the NBA sucks either way. Super teams make it so boring. Brings no competitive spirit to the game. If the Jazz weren’t in Utah I wouldn’t even be a fan of the league.
If the Lakers dont get another max guy, there is no super team in the NBA.

This will be the first time since 2016. I don't think Cleveland or the original GS teams were super teams like the recent KD GS teams.

What’s George Hill’s price? Would he still command more than the MLE? Or am I way undervaluing him? I’d take him back - a perfect back up PG. Then ship out Exum and Favors and get Harris.

I’ve wondered that... Bojan is much more a 3 than a 4. I think it’d be a mix of Royce, Bojan , Niang and another FA addition.

Wonder if we’d start Bojan at the 4 or bring Ingles off the bench. I guess you add the talent then figure it out later?

If he came cheap like you suggest it's a no brainer. Perfect backup and he knows how to run the offense.

Remember when we signed Joe Johnson out of the blue a few years ago? I sense something like that is going to happen again.

Yep.

(There’s also the idea of trading Exum for a 4... like Bjelica... assuming the FO ever wakes the **** up)

The NBA sucks again if Kawhi goes to the Lakers.

I mean if "load management" was such a big deal to Kawaii, I don't see how going to a team with 3 other legit NBA players all of which spent considerable time injured last year (Kuzma's may have been fluky) offers him the ability to take 12-20 games off, especially in the Western Conference. Lakers need to be forced to spend all that money on turning DLo into Kyle Korver instead.

Players I have no desire for like Vuc and Barnes getting big contracts makes me happy. Spend you other small markets! SPEND!

If I prayed, I’d pray for you, brother. Things’ll get wurked out.
In two years, when Dennis Lindsey’s walking around in tissue boxes and collecting jars of his own urine tries to convince the Jazz to sign Exum to a max and the Jazz finally figure out why Exum’s been on the team so long.

If Kawhi goes the Lakers I'm going to be sick. I'm so tired of stars just grouping together on the same team. I ******* miss the 90's. Sure, there were loaded teams then too but they happened more organicly.

“Dante Exum is our Nick Collison. People don’t understand how impactful he is to this franchise.”

- DL

“It’s true. The FO is very high on Exum, and there’s still a lot of potential there. They’re not foolish to let that go.”

- TJ

“When you look at [Exum] superficially, the stats don’t look good. But when you take a deep dive, there are actually some really interesting, intriguing things that you’re getting, and there may be something special there.”

- Locke

“The Jazz have all the info and they value him. That should tell you all you need to know. You think you’re smarter than them or know more?”

- JFC

“I just blue myself.”

- Jazz
