It doesn’t work like that guys. The exception would just have to be waived. When you use space the exceptions go bye bye... bury this idea before more people think it’s a thing.

Damn. You’re right. No way to keep the exception if we’re opening up cap space. The only reasons to trade Favors are to get an asset back or to guarantee his full $17 million (if his market is going to be soft.)

Yep, lol. Reports are they didn't want Kyrie by himself due to leadership concerns. It's also being reported they didn't want to offer Durant the full max due to injury concerns. They are so ****ing stupid. Brooklyn is taking over that City and never looking back.

What's the advantage of waiting now? If the guy you want will take the room exception now, you do it immediately. But I agree it's likely that we may have a wait ahead of us since I don't see the desirable free agents ready to get to this point yet.

He also isn't the perfect fit next to RJ Barrett and the Knicks new timeline building around young guys. If you're the Knicks bringing in KD, he needs to come with another vet or two.
