I was on rotten tomatoes reading about each of these shows and found that michael shannon is on boardwalk empire. That does it for me. Boardwalk Empire it is.

We just finished Six Feet Under and are trying to find another GOOD title to watch. Debated on this one and Shameless actually. On the scale of Full House to Breaking Bad, where is The Killing? [MENTION=840]fishonjazz[/MENTION] where is Shameless?

Breaking bad being a 10 for me, i would put shameless at a 8.5. Very entertaining, emotional, funny, fun, and surprisingly educational in a weird way. One thing that i didn't like about it was that there were too many sex scenes.

I would highly recommend that you watch Justified if you have not already. Fantastic show. i would give it a 9.3 or so. Great humor, action, drama, intrigue, fantastic acting by the all the main characters (especially the main villain). The only reason i dont give it a 10 is because it is a show that doesn't really stay with you after you have watched it. Doesn't have any weight to it like breaking bad. Just a very very good show that is extremely fun to watch and then move on.

Great assessment of justified. Great show. Fun to watch. Engrossing. Just no lasting emotional impact. And it isn't really a great one to revisit. I mean it's still entertaining but it has a distinct "been they done that" vibe on rewatching. But I still highly recommend it.

I have also heard that Black Sails is pretty good.

Jericho had a fun premise, for me anyways, but it just didn't keep my interested long term.

Sounds like penny dreadful for me. Interesting premise crappy execution.

The Killing is very well thought out and season 1 sets itself up for the next 3 seasons so well. In ways that you couldn't even predict. The ending tugs on your heart strings a little too. I loved it and my girlfriend loved it as well. 4 seasons with 10 episodes each season and 45 minutes each. Can't ask for anymore than that. I would give it a 9.5, tbh. I love the two main characters they fit their character in the season perfectly like it's their actual job.

People of earth is quirky fun. "I know my freakin' job Jeff." and I heard it will get at least another season.

And I see a lot of votes for Vikings. Not a bad TV show by any means, but probably one of the least interesting tv shows I've ever watched. Really basic, but well done and visually appealing with solid acting. It's like a low budget GOT minus all the cool fantasy elements.

Has anyone else watched the good place? It's not the same sort of show as these (it's only a half hour and pretty light and breezy), but I just finished the first season and thought it was fantastic, very cleverly done.

Vikings has seriously lost it's way this season (4) i'm abandoning it.

Yeah, I quit Vikings halfway through this season. I will probably finish it up at some point, but the stories in it are very plain and it never really gripped me in anyway.

Oh and Season 3 of Black Mirror was awesome. If you havent watched any Black Mirror, you dont have to start at any point in the series, every episode is a stand alone piece.
