First of all I just want to say hello to all of my fellow Jazz fans and that I'm really excited to talk Utah basketball with all of you guys.
And now I'll get to the point I was trying to make. I'm a diehard Jazz fan and I have been since birth but at this point in time with all of the young talent that we've stockpiled I am hoping that move all of them into the rotation and see where we end up with that. While that would be one of the youngest teams in the league and likely wouldn't be a contender in the Western Conference, I think it would be huge for the development of all our young guys moving forward and would put us in position to add another good young piece in the best draft class since '03. There are a few guys that are considered to be potential franchise changing talents in next years draft and adding a young guy with superstar potential with the young core we already have would likely make put us in a position to contend for a title within a few years.
And with that being said I know the perfect guy that would complete our young core and would be an absolute superstar on and off the court in the SLC community. Incoming Duke freshman small forward Jabari Parker. Parker has drawn comparisons to Carmelo Anthony but with a better motor and without the attitude issues. Not only would he give us the small forward we need but as a Mormon that has been praised for not only his play on the court but also his contributions in the city of Chicago off the court I think he would be an absolute star in SLC and could one day reach Stockton/Malone status as Jazz legends. I know that's high praise for a kid but he is absolutely the real deal and would be a picture perfect fit for our team going forward and as a young star in the SLC market.
Another tidbit about his game, he's currently at the Kevin Durant Skills Academy in Washington, D.C. and the reports so far are that he is by far the best player at the camp and has been going head to head with Durant and holding his own. That's pretty crazy that an 18 year old kid is holding his own against arguably the second best player in the world right now.
