What's new

NFL Discussion Thread - 2013

As good as the Broncos are I'm not sure they can beat a physical nasty monster like the Seahawks... Man those guys are nasty. They're the first team I've ever seen push around and frustrate the Niners. They beat them at their own game. That defense and running game is sick. Once Harvin comes back they'll be even more explosive.

Denver has gotten much bigger and meaner on D this offseason. They specifically addressed defending the run and added 4 guys that are over 300 lbs. Then you have very fast defenders like Miller and Wolfe roaming the line. I'd love a Denver/Seattle matchup. Denver is tied for first in defending the run and Seattle is 2nd in defending the pass.

Also I am not sure that Denver has solved their running game. Aside from 2 good running plays they barely did anything on the ground. They also have yet to have a RB get over 100 yards rushing in a single game. Denver also needs to learn to hold onto the ball in the endzone. That is 2 TDs now that they have given up. Still they went into New York and in front of 80k fans they did not allow 1 sack or even a false start. Very impressive. But when your team averages 45 points a game it is hard to lose.

Looks like Katie will take the week off from posting.

That stomping that Seattle put on SF really surprised me. I have expected more of a game. Do y'all think this clearly places Seattle above SF?

No, but I think San Francisco needs to work on playing against a defense and less on their posing. I loved the shots of Harbwahaha. I hate the Seahawks, but nowhere near as much as the Whiners.

Yes. In my opinion Seattle beating the Niners clearly states as of right now they are the better team. Could change later in the year, but right now Seattle is obviously better.

I suppose you are obligated to hate the division teams better than you. Do you also hate Arizona?

No. Bottom feeders gotta stick together.

Rams are no longer a bottom feeder team. They, like K.C., have moved up into solid team territory. I think St Louis could even have an outside shot at a wildcard this year. Maybe 8-8, 9-7?

I don't have much hate for other teams, and I actually like Bradford. I hope the Rams have a decent year and get themselves involved in the playoffs... of course I hope they beat the Seahawks twice and knock them out on the last game and take a wildcard while leaving the division to the Niners... but that's the selfish fan talking.

There are a couple teams that I cannot stand. Patriots, Chargers, Chiefs, Steelers but above all, far and away the worst, are the Raiders.

I like, in a mild check the scores only kind of way, the Rams, Seahawks, Packers, Cardinals and Titans.

The Pack are off to a nice 1.5 and 0 start. Rodgers is throwing like another MVP season and the running game is looking adequate for once. Fire Dom; get the corners back.

How the hell does Dom Capers still have a job?

Hell yea for my Broncos! 2 games 2 blowout wins.
.
And still missing their 2 best defender's. At least their 2 best defenders the last few years. Woodyard and DRC may be in the conversation to surpass Bailey.

My Phins started out winning 2 road games (Cleveland & Indi) that is a very unexpected surprise, I don't expect this to continue but it is finally nice to see some improvement. The running game and O-line is still a concern but I'm optimistically hopeful for the future for the first time in a long time.

Agreed..... I'm a dolphins fan as well.... kinda.

They have been my team since I was a little kid but I don't get too worked up when they win or lose since they are a team so far away that I really only became a fan of because of a player that hasn't taken a snap in years (marino)

Go Dolphins!

No. I think it means SF just plain sucks in Seattle. I don't understand it. I get that the fans there are loud, but how have they not yet figured out how to play up there? The 49ers are able to beat Seattle when it's in SF. I just wish they would figure out how to do it in Seattle.

Looking forward to the rematch in San Francisco on December 8th in week 14. Would be great to have Crabtree back by then, but that is likely too optimistic. However Manningham should be back by then. I really would like to see Patton work his way up the WR depth chart. That kid showed some nice potential in preseason.

So in your eyes SF can be intimidated by a loud crowd? That when it truly counts they will fold? Sounds like a major flaw in personality to me.
