The 49ers lost Josh Morgan to Washington. Vincent Jackson is reportedly going to Tampa Bay. I hope the 49ers are targeting Mike Wallace.
Hang in there, we'll agree on something someday. Maybe.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think Alex Smith is an elite QB, but I watched alot of 9er games this year and I was amazed to see how often Crabtree was put in position to make a play and couldn't come through. Seriously, I think he's horrible. The Braylon Edwards signing had no positive effect and as a Dolphin fan I can tell you first hand how bad of a WR Ted Ginn is. He'll make 2 or 3 amazing plays in the passing game all season and spend the rest of the year running poor routes, dropping routine catches, and don't even ask him to make a tough catch in traffic. He isn't anything more than a return specialist.
If anything, I think the WR's made Alex look worse than he actually is. If Moss can give them anything and SF is smart enough to acquire a Vincent Jackson or Mike Wallace, I think Alex will look like an honest to goodness above average QB. Not elite, but certainly better than alot of what is starting in the NFL right now.
[h=1]Brandon Marshall in fight[/h]Just four days before being traded to his third NFL team, new Bears receiver Brandon Marshall was involved in an incident at a New York City nightclub.
Marshall, dealt by Miami to Chicago on Tuesday afternoon, was at a New York club early Sunday morning when, law-enforcement sources told The New York Post, the Pro Bowl wideout allegedly got into an argument with a group of friends celebrating a birthday at the club.
I know I was really disappointed when I heard about the Marshall trade but when waking up this morning I heard some news that lessened the blow.

SF was a dream job for a real coach, which Harbaugh is. You are sounding like somebody that watches the 9ers a lot more than I do, which wouldn't take much. I know, as a Brown, how bad Braylon sucks. I don't need to see him ever again. I have no opinion of Ginn and am not an OSU guy. Crabtree is a guy that will either get it or won't. He's got the goods. SF has nothing to lose by playing out his rookie contract.
As a Dolphin I wonder if I could ask, do you think they will draft Tannehil? It seems like the most likely destination for him now.
Tannehill played in Mike Sherman's system at TA&M. IIRC Sherman is the Dolphin's OC now. Sherman is also a Holmgren guy so RT would fit in on the Browns as well.
I'm hearing a lot of buzz among Browns fans about him. He may go #4. He had a good bowl game, played in an NFL offense, has a superb skillset. Sanchez started fewer games and wasn't as talented. A lot of people see him as a top 10 talent. If he's that good we may as well take him. There is about zero chance Cleveland can land Barkley next year.

Pretty good write-up on him.

It would be a non-issue. Except Marshall has already served at least one suspension due to off the field behavior. This is at least his 6th incident and he served a 3 or 4 game suspension for the last one. If this is as bad as it sounds he could get a long suspension.Ehhh...unless he shot himself, killed someone or raped someone, a fight is a non-issue these days.
Now if the Bears can sign Mario Williams that would be a scary team.
Scary? No, not really. Their o-line still blows, Forte's coming off a major injury, and their defense is quickly approaching that over the hill status.
Nfl.com has an article stating that with the addition of Marshall, the Bears now have the best offense in the NFC North. I'm guessing the writer of that article forgot that Green Bay and Detroit are still in the NFC North.
