NFL Talk

Al is dead and Oakland is still a Mickey Mouse organization.

Talk about sticking your new guy in a **** situation. Down 21-0 with your opponent riding high and your best player out.

If they were going to bring Palmer off the bench, why not start him to begin with?

I'm guessing they weren't counting on Boller throwing 3 picks to the Chiefs.

Why I have no idea - Boller is an absolute scrub - always has been. Quite frankly I didn't even know he was still in the league until last week. And don't write off The Chiefs. Take away their first two games and they've played pretty decent football.

As far as Palmer is concerned; it's a simple binary situation - either he's ready or he's not ready. But to bring him in and expect him to be Tom Brady for the last 25 minutes is retarded. Might as well of brought in Pryor and at least made it interesting.

He's a big boy and he'll get over it; but talk about getting off to a cluster **** of a start.

Phins had me worried there for a bit, until about 4-5min left in the 4th when they decided to play not to lose and on their last 2 possessions run the ball 6 straight times for two 3 and outs. Now don't get me wrong they suck and prolly would've went three and out anyway but the play calling not to lose and bitching out puts two things in your teams head the word "lose" and "bitch" and that's exactly what happened.

Anyway thnx Miami, not that I want you to lose every game but for making my prediction come true that you would lose when you went up 15-0.

Colts are looking like a lock for a perfect season. The offense stinks, which is understandable without Manning or an Oline. But the defense might be even worse....

Anyone want to reconsider their love for The Artist formerly known as Carson Palmer? Dude's been mediocre for years. Morans.

He had a few days to practice with a new team, ol wise clown. One of the picks he threw was because it bounced off his own receivers chest. Give him at least two weeks to learn the office and find a grove, then open your pie hole, pong-mongler.

I think Colts would beat Dolphins in a H2H game (do they play?).

They don't play head to head. I'm pretty sickened by the Colts right now. Obviously the Saints are a waaayyy better team but Indy laid down from the get-go the other night. Yes Miami sucks, but I don't feel like their players are giving up as easily as Indy's. In fact, Miami has entered the 4th quarter of each of their first 6 games within striking distance of a victory and in a couple of cases they've even held late leads. IMO Indy and it's players have already given up on 2011 and it will make me sick if they land Luck. To me it feels similar to the year David Robinson got injured early for the Spurs and they tanked the rest of the season only to be rewarded with Tim Duncan.

This "Suck For Luck" speculation is bad for business IMO. I wouldn't be suprised to see this lead to the NFL exploring the option of putting in their own draft lottery of some type.

As a Dolphin fan, I just don't see Miami losing more games than either Indy or St. Louis so I'm not really getting my hopes up for Luck. I'm actually hoping that Matt Barkley or Landry Jones turn out to be guys who can get the job done because that's who I think Miami will be choosing from.

A couple weeks of practicing will allow him to find a secluded wooded area?

I don't see any real reason for them to change the system. The parity in the NFL is pretty good right now. Teams will tank/give up regardless if they suck bad enough just to have a chance at the #1 overall (especially when their is a big name prospect like Luck available).

A few weeks? So much for that win now mentality you all said the Raiders so obviously had.

Tanking worked for Houston in acquiring Hakeem and then later for San Antonio in increasing their odds of winning the Tim Duncan sweepstakes. Hopefully the NFL will change their system if Indy and Miami are truly tanking.

I really don't think the Colts are tanking. They had an awful secondary last year, and this season it's awful and injured. Their offense sucks since Manning went away, and they have the most brain dead group of coaches I've ever seen. Like a defensive coordinator who calls for a 10 yard cushion less than 10 yards from the endzone, and a head coach who knows less about clock management than a foreign exchange student who just picked up Madden for the first time.

They are a really awful team who happened to have one of the best QBs to ever play the game and one of the best pass rushers to ever play the game. That hides a lot of sins.

I don't think any team actually tanks. Some player's have too much pride for that. Also, if you are on the field you are building your resume as a player. Why would you perform like crap just so the Colts can have the 1st overall pick? It's only going to make you look worse and lower your value. I just think teams get disheartned about how much they suck (see Colts after the center snapped the ball square in Painter's chest for a TO) and give up easily if things go wrong early in the game.

Would rep if I could for that.

I don't know if Indy wins more than 1 game looking at their remaining schedule

Possible games to win
Jacksonville (home or away) - 2 Games
Home vs. Tennessee
Home vs. Carolina

So out of those 4 games I can see them maybe taking 1 or 2. The rest of their schedule are losses.

Then again with Jacksonville beating the Ravens last night anything I guess can happen. I am happy about the Ratbirds losing and loved that ESPN spent that much time talking about Ray 'the murderer' Lewis and Ray Rice and then they lose. HA!
