NFL Talk

From my ******* co-worker:

Why don't kids dress up as Rams defenders for Trick or Treat?

Because the Rams defenders don't have sacks!

They don't play head to head. I'm pretty sickened by the Colts right now. Obviously the Saints are a waaayyy better team but Indy laid down from the get-go the other night. Yes Miami sucks, but I don't feel like their players are giving up as easily as Indy's. In fact, Miami has entered the 4th quarter of each of their first 6 games within striking distance of a victory and in a couple of cases they've even held late leads. IMO Indy and it's players have already given up on 2011 and it will make me sick if they land Luck. To me it feels similar to the year David Robinson got injured early for the Spurs and they tanked the rest of the season only to be rewarded with Tim Duncan.

This "Suck For Luck" speculation is bad for business IMO. I wouldn't be suprised to see this lead to the NFL exploring the option of putting in their own draft lottery of some type.

As a Dolphin fan, I just don't see Miami losing more games than either Indy or St. Louis so I'm not really getting my hopes up for Luck. I'm actually hoping that Matt Barkley or Landry Jones turn out to be guys who can get the job done because that's who I think Miami will be choosing from.

Let me this straight, the Colts are villains for being awful, and the Dolphins are just unlucky that they are so bad in the 4th that it actually looks like they're tanking?

If it makes you feel better the Power rankings *the ones I've looked at at least* put your Rams ahead of my Phins.

Not as funny but same joke for the Phins would be: Because they'd drop the candy or give it away

Not what I was tyring to say. I think both teams are awful, I just think the Colts might be laying down a little bit more. No, I don't think Indy players are in to the Suck For Luck crap but I still think it's fairly obvious many of them are starting to mail it in. Miami and their owner seem to be the favorite target of the media in regards to Suck For Luck and I don't know why. Miami is awful, but IMO they still seem to be doing their best to compete. Indy walks into the Super Dome and it's 28-to-0 before you can bat an eye.

Yeah, Miami sure competed against the crappy Broncos at home. Which is totally identical to getting blasted by a team on the road that has a great passing attack against a team that has a horrid secondary.

To be fair Miami hasn't won a game at home in almost a year, even last year when they had a respectable record they only won one home game and won almost all their road games.

Biggest game of the weekend

New England @ Pittsburgh

The Steelers don't match up well against the New England's passing offense. They never have and probably never will. With that being said I think this will be a game that comes down to the 4th quarter. If they can put some pressure on Brady and force a few turnovers it will be close. Without any turnovers New England wins by 10+.

I am hoping for a win but this is one game that I called a coin flip at the beginning of the season.

I'm going to predict right now that the Lions either don't make the playoffs or barely make it on the last game of the season. I meant to post this last week. I swear to God. But Schwartz' post-game meltdown 11 days ago just felt like the beginning of some long meltdown for the team.

First planking, now Tebowing.

No run game is going to equal them doing poorly down the stretch.

Good game to 9ers fans, I think this one will be very competitive. Thank goodness for the internet or I wouldn't have any chance to see it.

Cheers!

So the Fish and the Colts keep their sucktitude alive, though the Colts looked especially dreadful.

Pretty good Miami game until that pathetic offensive interference call. I turned the game off at that point. If they're going to make calls like that, I might as well be watching the NBA.

Coming off their bye, Giants sleepwalked through the first 3 quarters. Once they got their heads out of their *** they held Miami to negative yardage in the 4th quarter.

The offensive interference call was bogus; but it wouldn't have mattered. The Giants D had the game under control by then.

Probably, but that killed a drive that might have made things a lot more interesting. I'm not a fan of either team, but I really hate to see a call like that, especially at a critical point in the game.

My prediction at the beginning of the year for the Steelers and their actual results next. 6-2 heading into a big game at home vs. the Ravens. IF they can somehow win that game since 1/2 their defense is hurt right now they would be set up heading into their bye and back end of their schedule.

God, Tebow sucks. How are you going to be an NFL quarterback if you can't throw the damn football?

Guess who has the 2nd best record in the NFL? That's right, the San Francisco 49ers!! Niners are now 6-1, with a current 5 game win streak. Jim Harbaugh is continuing his Coach of the Year campaign.
