NFL Talk

Tim Tebow is truly one of the worst QB's I have ever seen get the privilege of be a starting QB. I would be IRATE if I was Kyle Orton or even Brady Quinn that he gets playing time over them. Tebow can't read defenses, can't thrown an accurate ball at any distance, has the longest release, and has poor pocket awareness. He is a wildcat QB at best, he should look into becoming a FB or TE soon.

Irate? Orton had his chance and was 0-4. And Brady Quinn's a ****ing joke.

I knew Tebow had issues but while he has shown he isn't very good and more likely sucks, I do think he's better than he's demonstrated and is overthinking **** way too much. He didn't throw the ball even close to this badly at Florida. And in his defense, he also had weapons (Harvin, Hernandez, etc.) and was thrown into the opposite situation here after the team traded Lloyd. The Broncos invested a first round pick in the kid and then decided to trade their best wide receiver (and someone who lead in the NFL in yards the year prior) in Lloyd for a ****ing 6th round pick. That's far from brilliant organizational management. Was Lloyd bolting at year end? Sure. But to trade him for a sixth round pick when you're trying to figure out whether or not Tebow can handle being your quarterback of the future is beyond idiotic. They should have given the kid a fair shake. Providing him with Royal and Decker is not even remotely close to doing that.

God, Tebow sucks. How are you going to be an NFL quarterback if you can't throw the damn football?

The sad thing is, the few good passes Tebow made were dropped or his players couldn't keep their feet in bounds. (His TD pass was an amazing throw, but the receiver failed to keep his feet in bounds with plenty of room. I still think it should have been a TD though)

Guess who has the 2nd best record in the NFL? That's right, the San Francisco 49ers!! Niners are now 6-1, with a current 5 game win streak. Jim Harbaugh is continuing his Coach of the Year campaign.

I'll bet you $500 right now that the Eagles make it as far into the playoffs as the Niners.

You must have a lot of free cash. Every time somebody likes their team you try to bet them into silence.

Notice it works too. Katherine never responds. She's all talk. No action. My guess is she realizes the 49ers are still quite flawed and though they may get the #2 seed, they'll likely lose to some team who's just too much for them like the Saints or Eagles.

Or maybe making unenforceable bets with anonymous internet fans is dumb.

That team is flawed, of course. If Gore gets injured they are done. Their offense depends on turnovers for much too large a share of their points. But I don't think she was crying SB, and Harbaugh is doing a pretty good job over there. Hard for me to see how that is not a team on the rise.

IMO San Francisco could be a very difficult out for the Eagles.

Unenforceable? Obviously Captain Obvious. But ask anyone on here and I pay my bets. Hell, I think I paid YB three times last postseason. The reality of the situation is that Katie prances around about the Niners but then does nothing to back up her supposed confidence in the team. If she thought they were that great, she'd bet them.

Tim Tebow could have Randy Moss and Jerry Rice and would still suck. Period.

Or she doesn't have $500 in disposable funds. Lord knows I don't.

Me neither. I love the Niners, but would never bet $500 on them. It's less about confidence and more about practicality. Would anyone have not taken the Saints over the Rams? Any given Sunday.

I don't see what's so offensive about Katie being excited for her team doing well. I've said it before, but, we Niners fans haven't had much to be happy about. Let us have our joy.

If the Rams play like they did on Sunday, I can see them getting second place in their division and as we know, second place in a ****ty division is also known as competing for it.

I guess I just don't see how betting 500 bucks is a convincing argument.

I'm starting to believe in Matt Barkley as a very solid pro prospect. If my Phins miss out on Luck, looks like there could be a good consolation prize. I thought both QB's looked great in the Stanford-USC showdown over the weekend.
