NFL Talk

The Colts damn well may be the 2nd 0-16 team in history.

Oh well, at least it'll get them Luck, thank god.

WHOOOOOOOOO'S GOT IT BETTER THAN US???!!!!!! NOBODY!!!!!!!

Niners win 27-20 over the Giants. Now 8-1!! Harbaugh is easily Coach of the Year!!! Love this team!!

Are the Niners any good?

The fact that Frank Gore went 6 rushes for zero yards, and they still managed to beat the (then) 6-2 Giants says a lot, IMO.

Well, you can't run on the 49'er defense and their pass coverage did just enough to win (got a couple of INT's and a stop at the end). Two big differences this year vs. last: a decent pass rush and Smith not turning the ball over. Perhaps the most overlooked factor in their success is their special teams. I wouldn't take any kickers over Lee and Akers. Can't overstate the advantage of making the other team go 80+ most every drive. Or knowing you just have to get to the 35 yd line and it's almost always an automatic FG. And, of course, a coach the players respect and believe in. As for Gore, he couldn't make it off the podium after last week's game. He shouldn't have even tried to play this week. Harbaugh needs to make him sit next game.

With home field, they might be able to make it to the NFC Championship game, where the passing attack of GB will finally expose their weak secondary. But NOBODY expected Harbaugh to turn around their team this fast, so I'm happy no matter what happens. Harbaugh is front-runner for COY defintely, especially with Cincinatti losing.

Good game by The Niners - I give a lot of credit to Harbaugh on this one. He took advantage of The Giants biggest weakness and that's their lousy special teams and their inability to cover the middle of the field on pass defense.

I can't wait until Bradshaw gets back - Jacobs is a disgrace. All that size and no ability to get the hard yards anymore. 3rd and short at the end of the game and The Giants don't even bother to put him on the field. I can't believe The Giants are on the hook for 4.5 million to that POS next year.

Browns lost yet again in the most mind-bogglingly unforseen way. My best player fumbles a Kickoff to give the Rams the go-ahead FG, then Shurmur calls a gut run with the 3rd string TE carrying the ball on 2nd and goal from the 10. Fumble, naturally. We recover. Then a lineman kicks the damn snap on the (would-be) winning FG.

I've never seen anything like that in my life. The only good thing about my football weekend was Boise State losing. Thank goodness I don't have to listen to those D-Bags anymore.

<obnoxious beyond anything>WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'S GOT IT BETTER THAN US?????? NO ONE!!!

/obnoxious crap

But this time, it's true.
