Stains & Steelers

Steelers at 9-3 is exactally where I thought they would be at the beginning of the season. I picked best case 13-3 and that is still a possibility. Defense is hitting their stride. Offense still worries me but so many weapons at WR. It all comes down to the line and if they can give Ben enough time to throw. Running game coming around as well with Mende and Redman.

Tebow going to lead the Donkeys to a division title? (Yes Sir!)
Is Dallas due for their crash and burn? (No, they will win their division)
Is Chicago Done? (Yes)
Is Houston for real and can they keep it up? (Maybe until the playoffs)
Can Detroit push for the playoffs? (I am rooting for them but don't think it will happen)
Can anyone beat the Packers? (Baltimore/Pittsburgh possibly in the SB... Saints at home yes... Anyone at Lambeau No)
 
So it looks like I was wrong and the Luck family and the Manning family don't want Luck in Indiana. I'd still draft him and trade him to the highest bidder. I'd also try to pickup Robert Griffin III. Don't know how good he will be, but he is sure fun to watch.

I'd still draft him and say "grow up".

I think if you're smart you put Manning on the block for auction at that point. If the Colts would be contenders with Manning, they wouldn't be on track to go 0-16. Unless they have the most amazing draft outside of the #1 pick (and you can't really know until you play), they should just move forward with a rebuild. Manning deserves the best situation possible anyway.

Then he refuses to sign the contract, sits out for a year, signs with someone else. Waste of Indiana's pick.

I think that's out that works at least. It would workout for Luck because he wouldn't play his 1st year anyway. Then he would get to handpick his situation.

Also, I think Luck is overhyped as a pro prospect. Capitalize if possible and get some stuff for him. Take RG3 (who I think is under-hyped as a pro prospect).

This doesn't make any sense at all. If Dallas wins the division, that means they beat the Giants twice. If Chicago and Detroit are done, who in the hell do you have winning the wild card spots? Obviously Atlanta but who's the other team? It has to be either the Giants, Bears, or Lions and according to you none of them would make it.

#1 Seed - Packers
#2 Seed - 49ers
#3 Seed - Saints (Lose tiebreaker due to Division)
#4 Seed - Cowboys
#5 Seed - Falcons
#6 Seed - Lions - even though I think most likely the Giants step into this position
 
I was watching on ESPN today and someone brought up a good point about the Packers. They are more poorly designed to play on their own home field than either the Saints or 49'ers (especially the Niners). If the Niners walk into Lambo with sub 20 degree weather and snowing, that could heavily favor the Niners defensive style and run game. The Saints would also be at advantage with their superior run game.

Receivers won't necessarily get downfield, but bad weather can actually help the passing team on short and medium routes. Receivers know where they're going to cut; defenders have to react. Much easier to plant and turn when you know when/where. I've seen passing teams have fantastic days in light-medium snow when the defenders are just slipping and falling all over the place.

Exactly. The Bills always had a big advantage in their heyday (hayday?) and would kill people because of this.
