This is exactly the type of league I want to get into....**** I'm jealous...I've never done an auction one live but always thought of doing one where your cap is $200 but you can go over and for every dollar you go over, you have to pay $3 for league fees, this creating a much bigger pot. In other words, you may have drafted $241 worth of players which means your league fees would actually be $323 up front.

Finished my last draft last night. Got the 1st overall pick. Got LeSean McCoy, Hakeem Nicks, Jeremy Maclin, Roy Helu, Matt Schaub, Peyton Hillis, Brandon Pettigrew, Christian Ponder, Scott Chandler, Seahawks D, Titans D, Toby Gerhart, and Matt Bryant

You took McCoy with the #1 overall pick?

I hear Calvin Johnson is going Top 5 in a lot of PPR Leagues.

I draft 5th in my big money league on Tuesday - I'd be thrilled with Rodgers.

I was already set to draft Calvin at 5 and wait on a QB, and then the guy at 4 picked Calvin. I let out a slight scream and then spent the next 90 seconds coming up with a new draft strategy.

Hillis I get where you're going but he isn't who you probably think he is. That dude is not a short yardage TD scorer. He excels on swing passes and being in space in general. Don't be fooled into thinking he's Mike Alstott because he is not. Not saying Hillis is garbage just that he isn't good at what a lot of "experts" are pigeonholing him into. He's a big dude with soft hands who is awesome at blowing up DBs. No wiggle in short space, can be tackled by swiping his ankle, and is/was crazy. Hillis' insanity was probably deserved since us Browns fans cheated our asses off to get him on the Madden cover but that story is still a head scratcher.

IMO like me you are likely to be scouring the wire often. I drafted Pitts D also with my last pick but have little faith in them for various reasons mainly age and depth.

I won't lie...I picked him based on what all the talking heads have said, but he's on a short leash.

I'll post a link to the rules of the league for you later. It's pretty crazy. I would've asked people here if they wanted in, but nobody ever wants to join money leagues here. It was a $50 buy in, auction was online.

Okay, I am going to predict the records for all 32 teams. Let's see how well I can do here.

Eagles: 12-4
Cowboys: 9-7
Giants: 9-7
Redskins: 5-11
Packers: 12-4
Bears: 10-6
Lions: 7-9
Vikings: 5-11
Saints: 12-4
Falcons: 12-4
Panthers: 9-7
Bucs: 6-10
Niners: 11-5
Seahawks: 7-9
Cards: 6-10
Rams: 4-12
Pats: 13-3
Jets: 8-8
Bills: 8-8
Dolphins: 4-12
Texans: 12-4
Colts: 9-7 (my sleeper team obviously)
Titans: 7-9
Jags: 4-12
Ravens: 12-4
Steelers: 10-6
Bengals: 6-10
Browns: 4-12
Broncos: 10-6
Chargers: 10-6
Chiefs: 8-8
Raiders: 6-10

I have no idea if this adds up to .500 and don't care...just did this real quickly...

FWIW, here is my team in one of my 12 man leagues:

Michael Vick -QB (32)
Darren Mc Fadden - RB (17)
Ahmad Bradshaw - RB (41)
Doug Martin RB/WR (56)
Calvin Johnson WR (8)
Demaryius Thomas WR (80)
Jared Cook WR (65)
Jason Hanson K
Giants Defense/Spec Teams (89)

I have a few high risk/reward guys on my bench: Brian Quick, Randy Moss & Mikel Leshoure.

NFL can't seem to figure out if Joe Haden is suspended or not. Supposedly if it's not handed out today he's clear to play Sunday. This story broke over a month ago on twitter, hard to understand why the league is dragging on this.

Here is my squad and the dollar amounts I got them for. $400 budget. It's a 16 team league which makes QB and TE more important than normal. Its also a 6 point per passing TD league (instead of 4) I would've paid about $150 if I had to for Rodgers. He should dominate the league. I'll post the rules of the dynasty format if people want me to. Its pretty crazy.

3 Aaron Rodgers, GB QB $133
7 Jimmy Graham, NO TE $101
90 Steve Smith, Car WR $37
92 Packers Coach HC $12
119 Tim Tebow, NYJ QB $3
124 Josh Cribbs, Cle WR $3
131 DeAngelo Williams, Car RB $18
143 Darrius Heyward-Bey, Oak WR $8
147 Isaac Redman, Pit RB $6
168 Bernard Scott, Cin RB $4
173 Santonio Holmes, NYJ WR $5
178 Shane Vereen, NE RB $6
179 Von Miller, Den LB $5
191 Martellus Bennett, NYG TE $5
194 Carson Palmer, Oak QB $3
195 Jared Allen, Min DE $5
196 Greg Little, Cle WR $3
203 Ryan Tannehill, Mia QB $2
208 Felix Jones, Dal RB $3
220 Brandon Jacobs, SF RB $1
223 Brandon Weeden, Cle QB $3
244 Dustin Keller, NYJ TE $2
252 Cardinals D/ST D/ST $3
284 Eddie Royal, SD WR $2
300 Shayne Graham, Hou K $1

Your team is brutal after the first four listed. Sorry bro. You were probably way better off holding out for Newton or Matt Ryan or someone, as well as Gates or Vernon Davis or Hernandez. You could have saved yourself (I'm guessing) around $50-60 and used that for better rb's and wr's. IMO of course.

I see what your saying (especially with Graham), but points will be at a premium in this league with how thinned out the rosters are.

With the scoring used in this league (6 pts for pass TD), Rodgers scored over 100 points more than Newton last year and almost 200 more than Ryan.

That means last year Rodgers would've scored more than Matt Ryan and a guy like Frank Gore or Ahmad Bradshaw (Tied 17th ranked RB last year) combined. Keep in mind, there is 16 teams so there will be over 40 RB started every week.

I could be wrong, but if Rodgers and Graham stay healthy, I think I'll dominate. It's not a normal league where everyone has good guys. Alot of people just have a bunch of average guys. In my opinion, I have the best QB and TE in fantasy, and those are the two most scarce positions in an extremely deep league. Basically, its all about points and I've gauranteed myself a huge chunk of them with two of the most reliable guys.

Also, I kept back $26 for free agent signings and to give myself room to work with under the cap. Another thing I did was try and draft as many QB's as possible and keep them as trade bait. I have 4 starting QB's (5) if you think Tebow starts eventually. There are teams in the league without a back up QB, Once QB's start going down these guys will be valuable in a 16 team league just because there can only be 32 of them at a time.

EDIT: I should also add that this league counts return yards, so a guy like Josh Cribbs was the #32 WR with this scoring last year, which would make him a #2 reciever in this league.

Yeah, I am out of sorts on what a 16 team league's roster should look like. And knowing that about Cribbs makes it better. Maybe Deangelo gets more carries (I think he's a top 5-10 back in the league) and maybe Redman is totally fine and starts the entire year or something. Keep us/me abreast of how you do. I'm curious.

I'll keep you posted for sure. I'm projected to score the most points in the league week 1, so we'll see.
