What's new

NFL Thread 12-13

Not very often I will claim a "moral" victory but this was the best feeling Browns loss in a long, long time. Trent beasting, OL looking better, Weeds with much better ball placement, DL getting good pressure.

Nice to see why they drafted those guys. Wins are clearly on the way. Also it doesn't hurt that the Ravens lost and the Steelers are losing.

Last years 49ers might have lost this game. Great last drive. Last year Alex doesn't convert on those three third and long plays. It's good to see Crabtree balling out on that last drive, and love me some V.D. On my fantasy team getting me high score in my fantasy league. I can't help but think the 49ers are the class of the NFL.

Take away all the dropped balls by 49er receivers and Smith's numbers are ridiculous.

This is very true. There were about 7-8 drops, with 3 coming in one series. It was a great win, and I'm happy with how the season has started.

I'm shocked that Arizona won in New England. I thought Arizona would be pretty bad with their QB controversy. NFC West as a whole is looking much stronger this season.

IMO the Niners are the best team in the league and it's not debatable. They have the best defense, protect the ball on offense better than anyone, can run the ball as well as anyone, have maybe the best special teams in the league, and Smith's options at Wr are better this year than ever. I truly think they'll win the SB barring an injury. And they were easy money last night as the Lions are maybe the most overvalued team in the league. Mediocre to poor defense. No running game. they were very fortunate last year.

There are two teams I am rooting hard for this season. The first is of course the Rams and the second is anyone who plays Washington. Yesterday was Christmas in September.

Biggest difference between the Lions and 9ers is coaching. Harbaugh is just really really good. That team already had a lot of talent, they were able to be mediocre with that doofus nutcase Singletary in charge, that takes some ability. It's impressive that Harbaugh was able to get the team buying in with discipline and enthusiasm without jettisoning any talent and without an offseason program last year.

Put a real coach like Cowher or Gruden in charge of the Lions and see what happens.

Did anyone catch the end of The Giants game when The Bucs blew through NY's kneel down formation?

Looks like Schiano is not looking to make any friends at the pro level.

Hahaha, really? I have to watch that.
