Hack, did you get your PM box cleared out? Do it now man. Clean your room if you want to be able to hang with your friends on the jazzfanz

And Alex Smith shows why he's not considered a top-tier QB. Terrible, terrible game. The guy can't throw deep and can't perform under pressure. He doesn't even have the sense to run out of bounds when the clock is ticking. I don't care if he completes 75-80% of his passes. A four yard gain on 3rd and 8 is no better than an incompletion down the field.

I agree. I'm not buying Alex Smith. He is player better than he ever has, but he still has terrible instincts and tendencies.

Some of the last 10 or 15 posts are just dumb. Smith can't handle pressure? Tell that to the Saints. Are the Eagles sinking? Yeah, they're 2-1 and were #1 in the NFL in total yards coming into yesterday and #4 in total defense when it came to yards. They look shaky right now but 60% of that is their offensive line. They're awful. 20% I'll put on Vick who simply needs to make quicker reads and quite frankly, run more often getting the easy five yards when they're there. The last 20% is on Reid and McCoy. McCoy is the worst blocking back in the league and if he's going to whiff time and time again, Reid needs to pull him and put in a different back who actually relishes pass blocking on obvious passing downs when the play calls for the back to stay in. And the refs situation is overblown? Did you see how the game ended? They say that went over the post which is not reviewable. BS. No way in hell that didn't go wide right. Freakin' awful call.

Yes, Alex Smith sucks. So what he had one good playoff game against the Saints. Its about time. He is lucky to even be playing in the NFL. The 49ers have been holding his hand too long. He still don't get how to play quarterback. He has no idea what the pocket is for. He rolls out everytime there is any pressure.

He couldn't complete a pass in the NFC championship game. That's why they went and got him a bunch of receivers and he still can't throw the ball down the field on a regular basis. Why do you think the 49ers were ready to dump him for an aging and broken down Peyton Manning?

I'm a Utes fan too, so there is no bias here.

Alex Smith sucks donkey balls.

No, Alex Smith has the best defense, the best offense line, a top running game, a top special teams, and a great coaching staff. He even has a nice arm. But he still has no idea how to play quarterback at a high level. Dude rolls out way too much. Throws on chevron too much. Doesn't know how to use the pocket.

I don't want to argue with you Hack. Let's just agree to agree that you're wrong and move on. No hard feelings.

Wes I didn't watch most of the game but did see the end and the announcers said even though it wasn't a reviewable call from their reviews they got the call right.

As for the Phins game both teams looked full of suck, Phins didn't deserve to win but it had nothing to do NYJ as they looked just as crappy but did just slightly less so.

I wish I had it recorded (I do have witnesses) when the Phins started calling plays to conservative (I'm assuming to protect the lead and their rookie QB) in the 2nd Qtr, they were back up just in side their 10yrd line I said they're going to call to blow this by being too conservative and get backed up and then try to be aggressive and it will comeback to hurt them, moments later run for 0yrds and then a pick six. Also then with the INT just happening they get more conservative and the RB fumbles the ball on the next possession.

Then at the end of the first half around a 1min40sec I said they need to stay aggressive see if they can at least get a FG and they decide to run out the clock with Bush, so then I said well this isn't going to end well (I was thinking a fumble) but if your gonna do that take out Bush and low and behold Bush goes down with a knee injury.

It's karma punishing the team and completely justifies missing the FG's (still hurt me as a Phins fan though), you coach and play call like a bitch the players start playing like it and you get that end result.

Yeah, he was so bad in all other games other than that Saints' game last year that he had a QB rating of 90.7 and this year is at 102.7 despite his horrid performance yesterday. Smith really sucks.

Late to weigh in, but damn... the Vikes looked good yesterday. The Niners looked like the suck. However...

Amusing that the whole team has a pretty bad game - that 49er defense sure didn't look as advertised - and the Smith haters are right there to lay it directly at his feet. Yeah, he should have run out of bounds. And he had a few bad throws (one that resulted in his first pick since 1822). No doubt he could have played better.

But how many INTs did the secondary drop? And they were letting Minny's TE have his way the whole first half. They were his bitch.

IMO, the defense is more responsible for the loss than the offense. It's a team game.
