NFL Thread 12-13

Denver blew the first half (were down 24-0) and dominated the 2nd half. Up 28-24 and moving the ball right now as well.

Rivers with 6 turnovers.

I think I'm starting to like the Eli Manning for Phillip Rivers draft day trade

Nice comeback and win by the Broncos tonight. I was worried at half time, but should know better than to doubt Manning by now, although the D stepped it up and did there part as well.

Anybody who drafted the real Manning late is out of their minds drunk just like some others around here.... ...

PFF predicting a monster game for Trent. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2012/10/19/trench-warfare-week-7-rb-matchups-and-rankings/

Trent Richardson @ Indianapolis

There are good matchups to exploit in Week 7 but due to a combination of talent, workload, toughness and the opposing defense he faces– T Rich is the best bet for elite production. Recent reports point to the fact that Richardson’s workload will be dependent on his pain-threshold. Count me in as someone who believes he can fight through a rib injury. Cleveland has graded out as the 10th best offensive line so far (+6.8). As I noted in last week’s column, Richardson loves running behind his C Alex Mack (+3.9).

I have a theory. Whenever you try to call it a lock, it goes the other way everytime..

Everybody this is your cue to make a lot of money. Go bet against the Patriots. Trust me.

I usually agree with this but in today's case, BB and the Pats are gonna be pissed about the Jets' calling them out for "borderline cheating." The game's started and so far it's 14-7, Pats so we shall see. The Jets do play them well but if I had to guess, if it's close at halftime, Brady and BB will be pissed and come out fired up in the second half, sort of like they did against the Bills.

Lol.

So much for your lock.

How about this... Next time you feel like throwing money away just send it to me instead.

I got an idea too. You come on here every week and give your locks and Ill bet against them and make lots of money.

Please son. I gave you my four NBA picks for the season. Lock three of four up, worst case.

Nobody hates The Jets more than I do; but the entire sports media world has been in a rush to write off Rex Ryan. Jets hung in there against the two best teams in the AFC and probably should have won yesterday.

With all their injuries I doubt they make the playoffs, but there are many teams in The NFL worse than The Jets.

I sure thought we'd had the anti-venom delivered when Art died but dang if that wasn't a snakebit game.

If somebody else can tell me about a game when the punter has the biggest contribution in a loss I'd love to hear about it. The fall of Hodges from hero a couple years ago taking a fake against NO 60 yards or thereabouts to fumbling an XP hold and shanking a crucial late punt with shades of Frost.

There were certainly positives to be seen particularly Weeden looked tremendous, especially with no run supporting him. Gordon is a legit weapon.

Browns board is utterly toxic. Wes maybe should make a thread for sig suggestions.

Eagle-Giants a couple of years ago when rookie Matt Dodge punted the ball to DeSean Jackson when he was instructed to punt the ball out of bounds - not only cost The Giants the game but arguably ruined their season.
