NFL Thread 12-13

TACK SOLO AST SACK FF FR YDS INT YDS AVG LNG TD PD STF STFYDS KB
Watts 49 39 10 11.5 0 2 7 0 0 0 0 0 11 10 25 0
Miller 46 38 8 13.0 4 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 12 35 0

I see Miller as that right behind Watts. The clear exception is passes defended. Watts is clearly better there. Nice to see that 2 of the best linemen in the NFL are both sophmores. Some exceptionally good talent there. I see them being compared to each other for their entire careers.
If those two are in the discussion what about Aldon. He actually has the sack lead now after posting 5 sacks last night kid was unblockable. Also Willis and Bowman have been beasts, their tackle numbers aren't at the top but consider they compete with each other for tackles.
I'm the biggest Alex Smith fan around, and after watching that game last night I'm wondering the same thing. That was an extremely impressive performance. Any defense with Urlacher on it is formidable and Kapaernick just killed them. His downfield vision was wonderful.

same here love Alex, but Kaep just adds to what the offense can do. I've seen more down field throws in the last two weeks then in the rest of the year with Alex. Plus. I do feel Alex takes too many sacks where Kaep did a great job at avoiding sacks.

It looks like the Alex Smith era may be over in San Francisco. Reports from last night indicate that Colin Kaepernick will start against the Saints. Harbaugh told Smith the decision is not due to his health. I wonder if Smith will end up with another team next season. For the 49ers it's time to roll with Kaepernick.

In the last two weeks Michael Crabtree went from 42% owned to 97% owned in CBS Fantasy Football Leagues.

Coincidence?

I freaking hate being a Jets fan.

Hate Ryan. Those guys suck. Look what the dude's brother has done with all that talent in Dallas. Oh, nothing. Whoops. Get those fat loudmouths out of the NFL immediately.

The Jets (and I'm no fan) will be way better once they move on from this.

I like Tony Sporano; but give it up already with that frickin' Wildcat Offense - The NFL figured it out years ago.

Wats just got 3 as well so he is now a 1/2 game behind Smith. Miller is 1 1/2 back now.

Smith, Watts and Miller arepulling away from the pack on sacks. Interesting note...all three were drafted in the same draft.

Not that I'm a fan of either Ryan...

But look at the Cowboys... Who was the last coach that really had success with them? Bill Parcells? Barry Switzer? Jimmy Johnson? Their problems go farrr deeper than Ryan being the DC. Far deeper than Jason Garrett being a failed HC. Far deeper.

And though I'd love to unload on Rex, ummmm, lets just remember, they traded assets for Tim Tebow. That coming back to blow up in their face, was like a surprise to NO ONE other than management. Everyone knew that trading for Tebow was going to be bad... Except for the dumbass who actually made that trade.

You could have The Hoodie coaching the Jets right now and with the GM dragging things down, he'd be struggling to win a few games per season.

Soooo, I guess what I'm saying is... Fire Rex? Fine. But lets just remember that the Jets management has been horrible as well. In fact, they did a better job of destroying that franchise than anybody else!

Firing Rex doesn't change the fact that their defense lacks speed and a pass rusher and their offense might have the suckiest players at every single position (other than Left Tackle. that Left Tackle is pretty good). Bad Oline, bad QB, bad WRs, bad RBs, bad everything.

Dallas? Dallas will always suck as long as their owner is trying to play GM, Coach, and Cheerleader.

If I'm Philly I'd strongly consider hiring Rex Ryan. He'd turn that defense into that shutdown defense that they've been advertised as for the past 2 years. Unfortunately, until Philly gets an O-line and a QB who can read defenses, it doesn't really matter who they hire as Head Coach...

Perennial Pro Bowler at LT. 2 time Pro Bowler at C. Everybody else sucks donkey balls. Two years in a row they picked a pass rusher with their first round pick, last year's pick is seeing some time, but this years pick hasn't done much. Don't know why they didn't bring Burress back this year. I'd trade my QB for just about any other QB in the league.

Alex Smith may be available.

For those that think the QB position isn't the most important position for football team please watch the Steelers.

Leftwich last week and Batch this week and I need some Pepto.

Steeler OL is in shambles too, and RBs were launching fumbles everywhere.

That was one of the ugliest games I've ever seen. Yikes.

3rd string RT, Back up LT, Back up LG...

8 fumbles (5 lost) and 3 INT.

The WORST game I think I've ever witnessed.

It looks like Kaepernick took control of the starting job today in New Orleans. He had another solid performance, and showed that he is capable of doing more than Alex Smith. Kaepernick's athleticism allows him to take less sacks, and he has a much stronger arm with more accuracy on the deep ball. I see Smith either being traded, or cut at the end of the season. The question now is what team with Alex Smith end up with next.
