Niang will make the doubters believe... I was once foolish like you too... thinking we needed a Bjelica or Tolliver or a Jonas.

Actually, Diaw was much more athletic in his younger days, but then he gained weight and relied more on his skills, so you could say it's a good comparison because Diang also is very skillful -- but no way as good a passer. Diaw was elite as a passer.

He will grab the loose ball and bust a three in the guys eye... 3 is more than 2... getting blocked is part of Georges’ plan... he’s playing chess.

Jared Dudley is a much better comp imo. Niang is a better passer and ball handler but Dudley at his peak was likely a better defender.

I know people scoff at his defense, but he’s smart and plays hard. He makes the right rotation. He’s like Neto on defense. In the right spots but may not always affect the shooter. He will be good with Rudy imo. He isn’t Kanter bad. Kanter has the combination of slowness and bad basketball IQ... makes him tough to play with on both ends of the court.
 
Also laughing at dudes that say he won’t be a player cuz he isn’t athletic... if he was athletic and as skilled as he is he’d have been a lottery pick... give me the skilled hard worker over the super athletic guy who can’t shoot pass or dribble.
 
I’m hoping Tony Bradley and Georges Niang both spend the whole year bouncing back and forth between the Stars and the Jazz. Practice with Quin Snyder and company as much as possible, but get them some major minutes playing in the G-League.

I want to see the Stars dominate this year. Start with Bradley, Niang, Mitrou-Long, plus whoever gets the other 2-way contract (Yuta Watanabe please and thank you). Add 4 affiliate players from Kelan Martin, Stanton Kidd, Jarius Lyles, Diamond Stone and David Stockton (if that’s possible.) Draft Darius Bazley, the 5 Star HS kid jumping strait to the G-League, and maybe give Grayson Allen some reps down there as well. Load up and kick ***.
 
I wouldn't mind seeing the Davidson, Bucknell, St Boneventure, Western Michigan guy don a Stars uniform. They all had gaudy college stats.
