NO VS Jazz 7pm MTS - Ingles will be out Wednesday...

This is the first real loss that has me semi depressed. They just got worked at the end of this game. No excuses for it.
 
Jazz did what a small market team must do and can't do. They lost to get high draft picks and then drafted the wrong people. This is the result.
 
It felt like the Jazz thought they could win the game whenever they wanted, and so did Quin, which I guess was why he was playing Millsap and Lyles. Boy did those two ever stink up the court tonight. Then in the 4th they seemed to just give up. It was weird. The only guy who showed passion was Favors. Quin did stop using Millsap and started playing Johnson, who has played a lot better than Sap, who I have a feeling may get cut the way he has been playing. Withey looked good, and so did both Burke and Neto. Favors was great in the third. Otherwise, it was a terrible effort.

We just let a 1-12 team come into our home and absolutely blow us the **** out in the 4th quarter. It felt like a statement loss, if such a thing exists.

So... would you say this undoes all of the championship hopes after losing to GS at home? Because that would be something.
 
Bad game for hood to get hurt. His shot was on tonight
 
So favors scored more points in the third quarter last night than any quarter in his entire career.


Then he had one shot attempt in the 4th quarter

The Hood shot is weird because he has always been a good shooter, so that just tells me there is a mental block for him right now and doubt creeps into his mind when shooting 3's.

For Burks it's just him regressing back to his natural habits in his shooting motion.
 
Ingles not playing was the difference. This team is fantastic as is. DL just needs to collect his paycheck, do nothing, and we're a contender when Dante and Rudy come back and our coaching staff continues to make guys like Pleiss. Millsap and Johnson stellar contributors. Utah is the ONLY team with a player development program. It's our exclusive secret weapon: turning duds (I mean dudes) into fringe all-star players. I just wish I were 22 again. Lindsey, Quin and staff could have made me a HOF'er.

I pointed out the problem with Burks' mechanics at the beginning of the season but I guess Alec doesn't read Jazzfanz. You need to follow through on your shot, Alec, and try to get your release off the palm of your hand as it appears to me he does, which also flattens out his shot and causes it to hit the back rim. Might also be why Hood's shots often seem dead on, yet miss because they catch the back of the rim.
