The dude has really long arms for his size and he uses every inch on that high release point. Pretty weird looking shot.
That was the most rational comment I've ever read. Get the **** off this board and take your glass half full **** with ya!!!Everybody who is mad that we "helped" the Mavericks, they would have cleared the space no matter what. If it hadn't been us, it would have been the Lakers or someone else doing it. It was going to happen, and we decided that instead of someone else getting a starter-caliber player for free, we wanted that team to be us.
We are growing from within, added another starter-caliber player, resigned Carroll, shouldn't have Bell/Miles/Howard, drafted a guy that can shoot above 40% from 3, and have almost an entire team playing for a contract, or easily moved in trades. How could we not like it so far, and more importantly, nothing we have done will hurt us the following season.
This isn't the worst move. But no one can convince me that the Mavericks really would've walked away at the insistence of getting SOMETHING resembling an asset to build with.
Good point. Someone mentioned earlier that there is actually a requirement they give up some type of pick, so I think that explains the Belgian.Mavs are known for buying first round picks for 3 mil during the draft. They saved 2.4 mil by dumping Odom. There is absolutely no way a team that is willing to pay 3 mil for first rounder would give up a first rounder to save 2 mil. Dallas would not give assets in this deal. The fact they gave a second rounder Belgian player is even surprising.

"I can't wait to play in the NBA"
How can he be any worse than Miles, really?

Very surprising fall for him, really. Maybe he's lost a lot of his desire for playing basketball, as he was an Honor Student at Vandy. His head may just be elsewhere...interesting (if not optimistic) bit on Foster in SLC Dunk from earlier this month (near the bottom of the post): https://www.slcdunk.com/2012/6/5/30...ogans-and-adorable-nba-items-the-downbeat-766

Video makes me hope he makes the team, even if he doesn't get many minutes.
Like I've said before, the jazz need to get a core of 8 players and worry about minutes and $ for those guys. Then you backfill with picks, vets at the minimum and guys like Foster, Evans, etc.
We need some combination of 3 bigs, 3 wings and 2 PG's. Or maybe you have a swing guard (Burks?) or swing forward. In any case, all you need is a solid 8. Then a couple of cheap vets or talented rookies for injury insurance and spot minutes.
