NON-JAZZ NBA PLAYOFF thread

Given recent precedent... this is cute:

They added an explainer of why it was different... all it should have said was “Lebron>Zinger”.

When the league released their rationale for not coming LeBron, it really looked like they were trying to post-hoc reasons why it was legit. This is kind of like officials reviewing a foul call.

“There is contact but not enough to affect the play so CNC”

I love when the NBA does this stuff because it really fuels the conspiracy theorists.

lebron attended an event where everybody is required to be vaccinated? but he himself ISNT vaccinated. LMAO wtf

According to recent reports he is vaccinated.

I’m not sure about that. The way it was worded leaves one with the impression, but it doesn’t say he’s vaccinated, just that he attended an event where you’re supposed to be.

I think there is more than a little truth to the conspiracies. How much more money is this first round with LeBron than without? No surprise they find a way to justify letting him play. The league is first and foremost a business of entertainment. So they have a strong financial incentive to make sure their biggest draw is on the court. Same reason movies keep known douchebag stars in their roles, because they sell tickets.

This. Anyone here honestly believe that LeBron shows up at a high-profile event like that and some random bouncer says "nah, bro, you don't have a card you can't come in." Lol that ain't happening.

I’m honestly fine with it... I don’t root for suspension and I think 50% of the Covid stuff we do ignores the science we have.

It just gives the conspiracy theory people more fuel when they do stuff out in the open.

“Larry Bird is not walking through that door, fans. Kevin McHale is not walking through that door, and Robert Parish is not walking through that door. And if you expect them to walk through that door, they’re going to be gray and old.”

now clippers up. is cp3 out? what happen?
They are saying he is likely out due to shoulder contusion. I guess he's been playing through it. The Lakers got bailed out on about 3 ******** calls in the third or it would nearly be tied right now.

Nope, CP3 back in, being a warrior.

Makes the Jazz response with Mitchell look even worse. Miller just said "he's going to play, and even if I was playing with a sore ankle or whatever, guys like that playing at 80 or 90% still probably better than any replacement". Not sure if that's a dig but still sums it all up pretty well.
