NON-JAZZ NBA PLAYOFF thread

Holy crap Aaron Gordon sucks.
I can't believe I ever wanted that bum on the jazz.

Aaron Gordon is an absolute piece of **** player. If you were one of the people on this forum suggesting the Jazz trade for him, you should stick something sharp in your eyes.
I did.
It hurt

That flagrant two call on Joker was… well, it basically summarizes how historically bad the officials have been for these playoffs. I honestly don’t know what the officials are looking at. But it’s certainly not the actual games being played.

Looks like this will be the suns year. I really hoped it was our year. I still think we have a chance but not without Conley and with 3/4 of Mitchell. Sucks that we did so well with injuries until it really counted then got the mother of them all to 2 of our best players.

I think if that elbow doesn't "graze" Payne's face (it did look like in slow motion that Joker's elbow hit his nose), then its just probably a flagrant 1.

I don't think the Nuggets were winning this game regardless though. Their PnR defense was absolutely atrocious. They kept showing both CP3 and Booker the exact same defense every freaking possession.

Im glad Denver went out like punks even with their injuries I thought the overconfidence in Gordon would b their downfall, n shoulda played Millsap more.

The ejection of Jokic was ridiculously bad. Has an MVP ever been throw out of a playoff game? I have been worried about the Suns all year. I think they are very good. Even with a healthy Jazz team the Jazz still might not beat the Suns. However the Suns have gotten lucky too. They played the Lakers with a hurt AD and then they play the Nuggets without Murray. Not saying they wouldn't have won still but there is no way they would have won so easily. Now they are going to have a long rest while the Clippers and Jazz might be heading for a six or seven game series. I would feel a lot better about the Jazz chances if DM and Conley were completely healthy.

As bad as I hate to admit it, that whiny little bitch CP3 is a difference maker. If we'd have traded for him instead of Conley, where would we be right now? ( Just to clarify, I like Conley as a jazzman much, much better.)

Number One, the ejection was ridiculous. I don't think it was even a Flagrant One because Jokic made a play on the ball not on Payne's face. Plus I thought it speaks volumes about the exceptional character of Jokic, the way he responded to the call.

Yes, if CP3 continues his stellar play, the Suns are going all the way. He's playing the best ever in his career.

It was a flagrant.. too much wind up and clear intent to foul the guy. Ejection? not sure. Based on how the game is called right now that is definitely a flagrant though.

CP is good but I want to see this Suns team with a full strength playoff team. I also noticed he isn't shooting threes yet... not sure he can get away with that in the next two rounds. His shoulder better be right. The Suns sweep of Denver says a lot about the Blazers imo. Denver is a shell of a team without Murray and with Porter and Barton limited. They still whooped Portland. Suns exposed them. Suns ended up with a cushy road to the conference finals... the next series is the real test for them.

So, are you advocating that the refs should show favoritism to certain players? Isn't that something that bothers everyone? Stars getting calls that others don't? I actually think it is healthy that they had the guts to toss the MVP when he crossed the line. You can question if any player should have been tossed for that foul, but don't protect the MVP just because he is the MVP.

Even if you hit the ball swiping down that hard creates enough force to sprain a thumb or break a finger... I know I had it done to me on a play that was similar... the guys follow through took my thumb with his hand and I was out for about 6 weeks. Its a dick move. If you are frustrated with the refs don't try and hurt a guy... especially when you likely aren't moving to the next round.
