Not Gonna Lie. I Want The Rockets To Lose In The First Round

watch the game objectively for godsake. i don't really hate other organizations. i'm pretty much apathetic toward them. but i do enjoy good playoff games. and that was a very entertaining game last night. i could careless who wins. who gives a rat. and refs and home court adv are 2 very different thing.

for majority of the game rockets looked like a better team. on paper they are the better team. even before the game i said rockets in 7. but it seems like mcfail was doing corbin impression last night with bad subs and awful strategy down the stretch. i'll LMAO if he continues to put jones on aldridge. lol

i'm not gonna change my pick because 1 game. but if blazers take game 2, then blazers in 6.

Objectively basically equals your opinion in this thread. At the end of the day Rockets lost. That isn't on anyone but themselves.

yes, just my opinion. but series ain't over in game 1. all i want is exhausting and exciting 7 game series. maybe throw in a brawl or two. lol

I am down with that for any other series. I just want the Rockets to get manhandled. I want something like the Blazers in 4 or 5. Nothing would be more fitting than for the Rockets fans delusions of grandeur to come crashing down around them again. Their cries would be sweet, sweet music to my ears.

Meh.

I am incredibly indifferent to the Rockets. I have no beef with them and their fans are mostly mouth breathers.

Harden about to get that choker label. dude is playing like a scrub in this series. didn't see this coming. and wow, aldridge. what a beast. he is so smooth.

Seems I've either underestimated Portland or overestimated Houston. I think it's the latter. Would actually prefer Rockets to win, tbh. They are fun to watch to when they're playing well, but maybe those days have come and gone.

Not really, its mostly been abuse on Terrence Jones and Asik and tons of putbacks. Howard cant guard him at all because he stands near the 3point line, by the time closes out the ball is halfway in the hoop

i'm so impressed by this performance. i'm really curious how many back to back 40pts on the road has been done in the nba. Great MJ had back to back 40pts on the road just once in his career. last one to do it was Bron against Orlando in 09. and Tmac did it against orlando in 2003. i'm not sure if this was done in 80s or 90s. i have pretty damn good memory, but i can't think of anybody who've done this on the road.

anyway, all year long griffin was getting all the attention in this position(deservedly so), but aldridge quietly put up 23.2/11.1 this year. his shooting % went down because he is taking a lot of jumpers, but he really is showing what he can be especially when you just single cover him. his game is so simple. dude is a natural scorer. there is no additives. simple footwork, and just squares up and make those 17-18fter consistently. he is getting better at banging down low too.

can noah vonleh really be like aldridge someday? that's a big if, but if he can be like aldridge, then i might switch stance between vonleh and randle.

Interesting comparison for sure.

Vonleh is about the same size in shoes as LMA is without shoes, but hes a good bit more put together at this point and a better rebounder, shows better activity IMO, his shooting mechanics arent as pretty (Vonleh has a decently slow release) but LMA did not have any 3point range at Texas, also for what its worth Vonleh's #'s from the line are a bit better too.

can honestly say I was a huge LMA fan in the 06 draft, im sure its in-part why im so draft crazy these days, I was convinced Aldridge was the #1 player available, yet he got very little respect, his detractors said he was soft. I've been consistently saying Vonleh is underrated all year and thats still where im at. As much as Noah's shooting #'s get bashed in the draft thread, IMO they are a huge outlier considering his age and size.

i'm fine taking vonleh at #6, but i'm not sure if i want him in top 5.

i want somebody to come in and give me good 30 minutes every night and put up some stats. i don't know if vonleh can do that when we have 2 bigs already in front of him. i can see vonleh taking off by his 3rd or 4th year. can we be patient? i don't know. i probably won't be. randle probably doesn't have the upside, but i can see him contribute immediately. damn, wish i had time machine and see how these kids play in the future. because if they turn out to be aldridge and zebo, then i'll take aldridge in a heartbeat because of the era they play in.

Hahahahaha. Suck it Rockets. CRASH AND BURN!!!

Go Portland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
