What's new

Whiteside with his signature flex tonight after that and 1 He had.

I'm thinking we need to dub him the nickname "People's Champ".
Agree… he’s so great. The reaction when they called the bogus foul… the flex… the dancing after the game… I get why some coaches hate guys that goof around but holy hell it’s a game… let the guy do fun.

I never expected to be an early Whiteside adopter… I never expected to be a high ranking official on the USS Whiteside but I’m never getting off the boat… I’ll go down with the ship.

Thank goodness we got this win. Kings played about as good as they could and we won thanks to another backcourt gem; I'm really encouraged by Conley's play as he looks great. Nice game by Mitchell as well but we expect him to rise to the occasion as he's supposed to be our best offensive player.

We almost died by the three tonight. The difference was also the rebounding - Props to the Kings but we crushed them on the boards.

I don't know what Clarkson's problem is but he better pull a Kobe and start spending hours in the gym, working on his shooting.

What if the new rules impact the smaller offensive player more so that the taller athletic player...Portland is hurt by this and the Jazz is mixed..it hurts the smaller guards, but Bogey, Gobert, Whiteside, and Royce benefit from these new rules....

I will say I think I was wrong on Whiteside. Sometimes he just looks so slow to me, but he has made it work.

I just wish he was a bit better at passing.

It hurts players who are good at sleight of hand. I dont think it really has much to do with height, though I guess on average smaller players are usually quicker with hand-eye coordination.

It also benefits smaller defenders. Guys who can get into your body on the perimeter can now really get into your body and hand check a bit more. Davion Mitchell came into the league at a good time for his style of defense.

Yes, it feels like it is more hand checking and physicality is going on.

Kings fans have something to watch this season. Jordan Clarkson needs an exorcism.

Call me a masochist but I was kind of enjoying JC's brick-fest last night. Sac don't know how to close against good teams so I wasn't that worried about losing.

So I was kinda hoping they'd keep him out there

That push shot he does is a thing of beauty. He's definitely capable of getting us some buckets if we need him to. It's just on our team to find out how. Damn, what a luxury to have a backup big that can score from mid range, putback, rebound, and swat shots.
