What's new

Game Thread Nov 09, 2024 03:00PM MT: Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs

Nice, exciting game with some Flip flashes. Collins has been clearly the most consistent Jazz man this season and keeps going.
Idk how long it will take, but I'd guess Lauri at some point would start making some from I side but ay, looks ugly. Thank goodness his 3pt shot is still reliable. Need to get more happening the longer the season goes, or his trade value is going to take a hit.

Hard fought win, on to the next one. 75-7 here we come, beep beep!

Laurie was very noticeably wincing and limping on certain movements, he’s likely going to be sitting some games. But… fun to see the Jazz win live. Now they can continue to focus on that #1 pick…

I'm watching the spurs broadcast and the out of bounds call was clearly incorrect. They showed it a bunch of times. And there was a timeout immediately after the call so the spurs had like 4 minutes to look at replays to decide if they wanted to challenge. They decided not to.
The challenge must be made immediately at the same time as the timeout is called. If you don't do it then, you can't challenge.

Oh I didn't know this. Thanks for the info. It makes more sense that they didn't challenge it now

I can’t help but think that with a more seasoned coach, we would’ve lost this game for the tank. Where was Williams when we needed him in the 4th quarter?

That was a very satisfying win against the new “glamour” team. That team is built to compete now and we gave them a dose of humility. Props to all our Warriors, even Cody but mostly Colin and John with a strong shout out to Walker, Laurie, and Flip who always give 110%. I thought Collier was also very good considering that he’s coming off a hamstring strain and hasn’t really been able to practice with the team.

According to sport-referecce.com, Collier was .338 career 3P% (27/80, 3 shots per game, 27 games).
If he's able to evolve into an 36-37% dude, he could be a pretty nice player.
