Being a good rebounding team has been a huge myth and mirage. We collect a lot of them, but they accumulate in an almost meaningless fashion. When things buckle down we can’t secure rebounds. We were like the second worst clutch rebounding team. Just think back to any playoff where we can’t get a defensive rebound in the past two minutes. A PJ Tucker who isn’t really a rebounder will decimate us in any kind of hustle situation.
 
This team is so soft. Even though we did upgrade in the offseason we are still aren't where we need to be.

Frustrating but as long as we have a tiny backcourt we will get worked. We need a STONG large tough 3. Not cute little energy Royce.
But hey if thats who you think is great you'll get the same result. He doesn't work as a starter with our guys even with the positives he does bring.
 
Honest question… does Paschall do something bad that I don’t see for him to not get more minutes? We need players like him to change momentum of games.

That's the difference between rebound and hustle. Most of our rebounds are Westbrick-esque when opponents really didn't give us a hard contest. When opponents actively trying to crash the offensive glass we just fold.

No motion at all. That's the worst part. Last year when we were dominant we had a really strong motion offense. Lots of ball movement, lots of cross-screens. The last 5 games i can count on my 2 hands how many times we've had "the blender" going for real. We have become a hero-ball/exclusively drive and kick offense and that is incredibly easy to disrupt when that's the only trick we have.

Yep and teams are going to watch film on that and will see it and expose it. Miami didn’t crash the boards like this in Miami. Crazy that after the Pacers game of them doing the same, Miami is crashing the boards just like the pacers did.

Hard to defend Quin on this one. I would start assigning some of Bogey’s minutes to Paschall and ask the FO to seriously start looking at trade scenarios for Bogey.
 
Our defense rotation is horrible. They are screening with Goberts man, and then Gobert isn’t rotating to the shooter. Ugh!

Bear in mind, we are playing a Miami team that just lost four of their last five, with their own W came against the Jazz...... We need help
