Except he needs to cover the perimeter better. He can’t sag and protect the paint when a switch to him happens. We can’t win it all until he learns that.

Rudy is never allowed off games.

I don't think I can name more than 3-4 games he played badly as Mitchell is playing now or some of the offensive superstars do sometimes.
 
I like having Royce on Valanciunas and someone else on BI.

Disagree. The only reason he can't cover the perimeter is because he has to cover for all of the matadors we have defending the perimeter. If one of our guys could be counted on to stay in front of their man Gobert wouldn't have to bail everyone out.

In some cases yes. But when he goes again a 3 point shooting center such as joker, he doesn’t close out. It’s one of his very few flaws.

Against Jokic he has to defend the pass because we don't have anyone who can stop the cutters. Sure Gobert can get better at that, but frankly if any of our guards could defend adequately on the perimeter Gobert would be 50% more effective away from the basket.

Mitchell has had more ****** games this year than Gobert had all last season. And if that's hyperbole it's pretty minor hyperbole.
 
Mitchell is playing poorly on offense, on defense he's legit just standing around as his guy goes right to the basket.

yahoo sports look up the box score and BAM! legal stream. Not sure by what sorcery this is accomplished though.
 
That was a nifty move by Conley. It almost feels like his every end of quarter shot has gone in this season.
