What's new

Nov 7th SLCC Exibition game feature several Jazz players

Yep, Burks and Kanter were the main reasons I went to this. I really wanted to see what the rookies could do. Burks looks very composed and smooth.

I find it funny that we have a couple of negative reviews for Kanter based on 6 minutes of play. Millsap and even Curry took a bit to warm up, why would Kanter be any different. I did see a great defensive stand from Kanter against Big Al, and forced a bad shot. Besides that, there's really not much we can take from it.

Let's just hope the lockout ends this week.......

What i read in an article about the game was, he defended pretty well and his team get conceded 8 when he was in the game, first 6 min, and around 20 for the rest of the first quarter

Yeah, i meant that article above

I'm sorry but anyone who wouldn't want shaq in his prime on their team is f*****g out of their mind.

i didn't say i wouldn't want, i said, our team should take the example of Detroit pistons, and a more balanced team chemistry rather than relying on one or two superstars. We saw this season how not easy was it to keep a superstar in our franchise

We're definitely developing more of a Pistons/Celtics type of team than a Bulls/Lakers and I think it's going to be a thing of beauty.

i hope so, because thats the only way out for jazz franchise

The Jazz have good young talent across the board. They need a PG to get it organized though. A PG and a designated defensive stopper would complete the team. There's plenty of offense though with Jefferson, Favors, Kanter, Millsap, Burks and Miles.

My view is Harris is good enough at PG. He is a borderline top 10 PG and you gamble pretty hard trying to draft one higher than that.
As far as the defensive stopper goes....paging Michael Kidd Gilchrist.

I loved this quote about Fredette: "The big knock on Jimmer was his defense, but in a game with no defense he held his ground as well as anyone did. He didn't defend the great players in the league, but he stayed with a slippery Ronnie Price..."

Yes, it's very important Fredette can stay with Ronnie P., because Price is representative of the highly-talented players Jimmer will being playing against each night as a starter (or even as a sub). Major LOLZ!

Poor Ronnie, if only he had been born Turkish .. at least then he'd always be the next big thing!

Looks like there are some decent prospects in the upcoming draft. If that GS pick falls between 7-12 I think we'll have a great chance to get a good one.
