Kanter's mid range game has improved and has also added the hook shot to his repertoire. His turnover rate is much better than last year. Counting this game Kanter is over 90% on free throws compared to 80% last year.
Favors has always been a player we knew would require a good PG to be effective...we currently have the worse PG rotation in the league.
Burks was putting up around a 20 PER the first few games at SG (compared to 11 last year). Asking him to play PG has hurt his play recently but Burke will be back soon.
Kanter's jumpshot has improved, but his overall scoring efficiency is way down. He was scoring more efficiently when he was in the post. Yes he is spacing the court better now, but he seriously needs to be in the post a lot more than he is.
PER, as Hollinger himself has admitted, is skewed to favor higher USG%'s and volume, and of course both of those have gone up this year for Burks. I guess you could argue that it also shows he's being more aggressive than in prior years, though.
