What's new

Now that the Kings are projected to take Fredette at 10...

The problem with Jimmer is that he's not like any other player. The Jazz could've drafted many quality players and didn't, like Rondo, or Aaron Brooks, or Arron Afflalo or even Josh Smith. We didn't, much like every team in the league could've taken Millsap twice over but didn't. You rarely hear anyone talk about how the Jazz should've drafted any of those. If Jimmer becomes a star, EVERYONE will always talk about how we passed up on him. He'll be our very own Durant.

@mattman: if we're taking a PG then I'd want Knight over any others (other than Irving of course).

Wow, you a politician? .....cause you're really good a comment dodging. When was Knight ever in consideration at #12?

We were talking Kemba v. Jimmer. If that's the case, I'll just say, Irving is my choice at #12.

And if he becomes marginal, like most other players at his likely draft position, we will have missed nothing. I believe in the pricinpal of going after the guy you want (like the Chargers going after Weddle a few years ago), but if Jimmer isn't the guy, don't do it to placate the fanbase. The novelty will wear very thing, very fast.

Not a dodge, but an honest answer. The only PG's I'm really interested in the Jazz getting are Irving and Knight. Not interested in a PG @ 12.
