Nuggets interested in George Hill if they can dump Faried/Arthur

Has Denver found a new source of funding?
This arms race has left a ton of teams facing luxury tax payments either this season or next. Doesn't Jokic need to get paid in 2018?

Note to Jazz Fans: we are no longer a dumping ground for contracts. Jazz will be over the tax if Hayward re-signs. Let's get this losing philosophy out of our heads. We want very good rotation players at decent salaries, not over-priced declining vets. A salary dump and a 2nd round pick is not what DL is after anymore.

Faried is only 27. Lol.

george hill is going to be a bitter old man at age 31. He so badly misread the market.

I'd like to know how his eventual contract compares to the Jazz offer.

Faried is no joke. Had a great year last season. Problem is the Jazz need shooting.
I like him. Jazz do need shooting though, so it's hard to imagine them being interested. $13 million just seems like so little when compared to what Alan Crabbe, Taj Gibson, Tony Snell and JJ Reddick are all getting paid right now. He'd be energy and rebounding for the bench unit. He's Trevor Booker on steroids. Once Hayward signs, the Jazz will find themselves in the luxury tax. Not sure Faried is the guy they want to pay taxes on tbh.

Normally I would shy away from paying a back up so much. But Favors is injury prone/bad luck what ever... The number of games Favors plays per season is trending down.

77 in 12-13
73 in 13-14
74 in 14-15
62 in 15-16
50 in 16-17

What will 17-18 bring? Hopefully 82 games but a safer bet would hedge against 50ish games played.

So this is the back up spot I would like to see the Jazz give some love. Again not saying Faried is the guy but I'd like to see the Jazz do something for the 4.

Jazz can also mitigate taxes by moving on From Diaw and Burks. That is 18 mill

I'm hoping they keep Favors at this point and see if he can regain his 2014-2015 form - the defense that year was amazing and he was a key part of that. With that said. . . the Jazz have to upgrade their backup PF. JJ can get some burn, but isn't a 4 until the playoffs. There's room to upgrade Lyles/Diaw on this roster. Faried would be a decent pickup imo. Just depends on how much the Jazz are willing to pay in salary and taxes this year.

Acquiring Faried would be less about this seasons salary and more about next season since we have Favors, Hood and Exum due for new deals.

Find a way to snag Juancho from them.

Yeah. Take Faried. . . but get an asset back in the process. I could live with that.

Yes to Arthur. Especially if they're just dumping him. He fits in terms of style-of-play, and his contract price and length also fit.
