Occupy ESA!

We should pick a night and occupy the Energy Solutions Arena property. Get the word out and get thousands of Jazz fans. We could pick a night* and invite all our friends (get the word out to 1280 and 1320.) Encourage people to buy dinner downtown that night to support the local businesses that are suffering because of the lockout. Wear our Jazz gear and party on the ESA plaza. I'm sure we could get some of those crazy fans to perform or do something.

Jazz fans unite! It's time to organize!

*The best night would probably be what was supposed to be opening night, unforunately I'm gonna be in Denver the next 3 weeks so I won't be able to make it :(

For the record- I don't really know whats going on with the occupy movement and I don't support it. I'm not entirely sure what its about, but from what I understand I think the entire thing is misdirected. Thats why I think it would be funny to occupy the ESA plaza. If we get enough people, try to attract some sort of sponsor or something, I'm sure the "crazy Jazz fans" could get national attention for ESPN (we all know ESPN will be dying for a good story on what was supposed to be opening night.) It could be fun :)

I'll provide the kegs. Who wants to buy the red cups so we can charge 8.50 for a cup of said beer? It's in a keg after all. Duh!

I don't think so much that the occupy movement is misdirected -- it has no direction. That's the problem. Sure you can agree with 99 percenter idea, but they have no strategy, no positions or groups or policies to protest.

I think a good place to start would be the Fed, however, since its their policies and the policy of the U.S. govt in allowing it to handle the money supply that is contributing significantly to the destruction of our economy. At least, it's a good starting place to make some positive changes.

I know this is way off-topic, so this might be filed in General Discussion.

How bout we all just get together and kidnap David Stern? Surely we have some military or ex-military members on this board who know a thing or two about covert operations.
