What's new

He's also playing about 7 more minutes a game than he did last year. Seems like a recipe for disaster when it comes to keeping him healthy.
Hopefully Hardy recognizes our team is on the 2nd night of a back to back and our 3rd game in 4 nights with the previous two games going to OT.

He should expand the roster and try to keep everyone's minutes down.

You said it yourself, the coach is going to play who he thinks is going to help him win.
I'm aware... this is more on the front office/med staff. Should honestly just say before the season that the plan is to sit him on the front or back end of a back to backs all season... that way its not an issue for tanking.

If he doesn't have his legs he may hurt us on the court against a lively Rockets backcourt duo... so I don't care much about the tanking aspects here.

Injury prevention is extremely important no matter what our end goal is this year. I assume this is a Hardy decision, but maybe the front office needs to give some guidance here. I could see this being a rookie coaching mistake type of thing.

Conley has been a huge part in our offense being good he has been great at finding the open man plus he’s been shooting pretty well.

Conley is shooting 28.6% from the field and 31.6% from three on the year. Worst shooting pecentage of his career by a huge margin and second worst 3pt% of his career (.4% away from worst of his career)

Its dumb either way. OT game last night... give more minutes to Beasley Sexton... no need for Mike to play at all.

Honestly we might be even better wothout conley out there. He is still old and tiny and is shooting horrendously this season.

Well **** he looks better than that. I know the last game was rough but I would have guessed way better than that lol.

Also a career high by a mile in assists at 9 a game. Plus making a lot of hustle plays, playing decent defense, and running the offense. It's often noticable when he sits, our team tends to go more iso and struggles to get plays setup.

Exactly. I think that’s why I’m surprised he’s not shooting it so well because he’s been playing awesome at every other aspect.

His shot has definitely been a little off, but I'm sure it will get back closer to his averages. I'm more curious if the assists will stay up for him and Clarkson. It would be great for the young players and the team if it does. Although I want to see more pick and rolls with Markannen as the ball handler, he has been good at this in international play.

This game will reinforce the tank I am afraid. Back to back with travel and first leg having been a competitive overtime win. Additionally Jazz have played well against teams with proper bigs but struggled a bit yesterday when Pels went with small switchable lineup and relied on McCollum for offense. Scoring guards seem to cause issues for our defense and Houston is heavy on those.

I hope we get to see some minutes for Ochai as well as Fontecchio and a Jazz team which would continue to play hard even if it is most likely running on fumes.
